We now have completed two stays at Pop Century and each were wonderful.
Last year were were in the perferred 60's building, we were extra lucky and got (without requesting) a first floor room right near the kiddie pool - worked out great with a 4 year old. The 'adult' pool in the 60's section is called the hippy dippy pool and is shaped like a flower, with a couple of flowers that spray out water. The 60's buidlings are the closest to the main hall, that contains the front desk, cafe, etc.
Last week we were back at Pop and had a 3rd floor 80's section room. Sure, it was 'farther' from the main building than the 60's, but not a bad walk by any means. It didnt bother us at all really.
The advise I have gotten on these boards is to fax the resort about 3 to 4 days prior to arrival and list your top 3 preferences. I of course knew this, but in the hustle and bustle of getting ready totally forgot to do so.
I had heard that the resort was sold out during the time of our stay, and it seemed to be that way. As there was alot more people around than last year. While checking in I asked if there were any choices between rooms, and the time there were not.
We completely enjoyed our stay and would stay at Pop again with no hesitation.
