Poor Unfortunate Souls ~ A Spooktacular Trip Back to the World! UPDATE Reality Check

Yay for DLRP!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Part of me was hoping that you were going to post that you are coming to see me this Christmas! :rolleyes1:lmao:

We much prefer Space Mountain in Paris, though I always smash my head off the harness repeatedly :(

2 rides I am looking forward to the most. Stitch live and Crushes Coaster :D

Yeah, I'm not going to lie, I totally smashed my head on Space Mountain, but still had a great time. Crushes Coaster was absolutely my favorite thing there. I could not stop laughing the entire time on the ride, it was so much fun!

Actually, there no longer are characters at LTT for dinner (they stopped that over a year ago).

Your dinner at Cali Grill looks great, especially that cake for Dave's birthday. :worship:

Your news for the trip to Disneyland Paris is wonderful.

Oh I thought the characters were still there.

We can't wait til next month, its been too long. Can't wait to see how different it looks.

I am loving your TR!! It makes me so excited for our trip at the end of the month! It will be our first time to go to Disney!

You are going to have a great time, WDW is such a magical place. Make sure to get your first visit pins as well :)

You better be nice to me young man!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I got YOU a present in DLRP! :goodvibes Well, I go Stefy one too, but yours was way more trouble!

Thank you, Kathy, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2: I guess I just caught up here in time or .........................

By the way, Stefy and Dave,

Congratulations on booking your DLRP trip! Newport Bay is wonderful, you're going to love the view of the lake and the parks are just out of this world for Christmas!!!

Great updates, just got all caught up again and I promise I won't fall behind for the next week, then I need to take my kiddos to Vienna for a week :scared1: and I wonder how much DIS I'll get to do!

Lol, ooh presents :teeth: I guess you are forgiven for falling behind then ;) Although I am behind myself, haven't even started Day 2 yet.

We are so excited for DLRP and we do have you to thank for that, but also I am a bad influence too as we always talk about going back one day. I just bit the bullet and said lets go for Christmas.

No need to be sorry, Dave! :goodvibes Mickey is very happy with me for pushing more guests through his European gates! :rotfl2:

I know Stefy has been thinking about DLRP for a while, we did talk about it before you went on vacation.
Unfortunately Christmas/New Years at DLRP is not in our future, but I really hope you are doing a trip report and take us along for the ride! ;)

I need to get your present wrapped and ready to travel, guess it will go in the mail on Tuesday! Hope you like yours and Stefy will like hers! Guess I better add one of the new park maps I picked up, so you can get even more excited - lots of new things to discover!!! :thumbsup2

Its a shame we won't get to meet up with you guys, but maybe next year? As Dave is already saying he wants to go for Halloween.

Am excited to see what you got for us, although you are very naughty for buying us presents.

WOW... Disneyland Paris.. I am jealous!

Still never ever been... every time I price it up, it just seems more cost-effective to hop on over to WDW ;) .. but I will get there, one day!

Love the look of that hotel, it was designed by the same architect as the Yacht & Beach Club :thumbsup2

It'll be perfect just after xmas too! :santa:

Happy weekend!

x

It is more cost effective, but we really wanted to go back and see all the changes and whilst we nearly opted to pay OMG prices for Disneyland Hotel, my sensible cap came on at the last minute and we booked Newport, am very excited all the same to be staying here as the rooms look lovely and a lake view is always a plus.

That is excellent news that you guys have a Paris trip to look forward to!:cloud9:I've not long finished reading the unofficial guide to DLRP and I am sooo interested in going in the next few years! Part of the reason that inspired me in the first place was your halloween pictures from your previous trip!:goodvibes... But like Dave says the prices for the Disneyland hotel can get a bit crazy!

I just got Dave to dig out that book too. Am skim reading the tips at the moment, will most prob read properly nearer the time.

Disneyland Hotel prices are crazy, but if you catch it at the right time of year its not too bad.

That is such exciting news about Disneyland Paris! I just came back from my first trip there in September and had such a good time. I can't wait to go back. You guys will have a great time. I have to say I absolutely loved Space Mountain there!

Ooh a September trip, did you go for Halloween? Bet it was awesome.

Yay for DLRP!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Part of me was hoping that you were going to post that you are coming to see me this Christmas! :rolleyes1:lmao:

Lol, don't you worry we will come over for a visit at some point. We can get our thinking caps on next year when we are at WDW.

Space is awesome, but yes you do get thrown around a bit. I came off with the pinkest ears afterwards

Hi, Stefy. We had a great weekend (I finally got an update done after not having one done since our Halloween Party...it's so hard to keep up with everyone's reports and keep yours up-to-date too). We spent a good majority of it cleaning...but it was good cleaning...all those things you don't do on a weekly basis (fixtures, windows, etc.). Sore from it all today but feel good that we got it done.

Can't wait to see the Zoo pictures and your next update.

Sounds like you had a productive weekend, must get round to your TR want to see your updates and hear all about the Halloween Party :)

Evening All

How was everyone's Monday, back to work after the weekend. Yawn!

It is ffffreeezing here in London at the moment. Walking to work was awful, windy and rainy, I nearly got blown away like Mary Poppins with my umbrella! Not fun and I think there is still worse to come :(

Enough weather talk. I thought I would share what we did at the weekend (if you don't mind). We decided to go to London Zoo as I recently read about the new baby gorilla that was born at the end of October. So we put those AP's to use and got ourselves out for the weekend. Won't go into too much commentary for you, so here are some pics :)

First things first, gotta get my peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks :teeth:

Waiting for the Zoo to open.

The Gorilla house was our first stop as we wanted to catch a glimpse of the new baby before the crowds picked up.
006-9.jpg

Mama gorilla was fiercely protective of her little boy and the only time we saw the baby was when she kept moving to high areas out of view of everyone. Can't say I blame her. but from what we did see he was a small little thing, tightly clinging to his mum. If anyone is interested there is a video of them both here.

ZSL Baby Gorilla

We love watching the gorillas, so fascinating. This one seemed a bit bored so was just pottering around trying to amuse herself.

I have always wanted to try this place out. Only a few steps from the Zoo exit. Its called The Feng Shang Princess and is a floating boat restaurant (doesn't move though).

This was our view.

I'm wearing my Disney Couture Tiger Lily top I scored from GF. I got a Tiana one too. Its a collection inspired from the Art of the Disney Princess book by Glen Keane. There are other designs but I can't find them anywhere online and they are sold out on the Disneystore.com :(

Appetisers - Shanghai Ribs and Prawn and Mango sauce egg rolls

Main Course - Sweet & Sour Chicken, Shredded Chilli Beef, Fried Chicken Noodles.

Dessert - Ice cream with strawberry sauce and chocolate pearls on the left and Caramel ice cream with chocolate pieces on the right.

Not a bad day out if I do say so :)

Great photos, Stefy! You got some real good shots there! :thumbsup2

Thanks, although credit has to go to Dave for most of them. I took the last few pics of the day i.e. lunch and the tree pics :teeth:

Great shots at the zoo, Stefy. I'm with you--I love watching giraffes (by far my favorite animal and WHY I want to stay at the AKL one day). You and Dave are just too cute.

Your lunch looks marvelous. Unfortunately, our trees that looked like that, have been barren for two weeks now and are in bags in my garage.

Then, .......... well done, both of you! ;)
I cannot believe that in 30 years of regularly travelling to London I have never made it to London Zoo!
Guess when I get back there it needs to go on my list of things I must do! :goodvibes

The weather has been changing here too! It's getting considerably colder every day, but the colours of the trees on my way to work are still so beautiful! All shades of yellow, orange and red - just beautiful!

Giraffes (or raffees as I call them) are awesome aren't they. Weird looking, but also graceful and beautiful at the same time :teeth:

I love how then bend to drink and their legs go or wonky looking

Can just imagine you yelling to Mark when you stay at AKL and see a giraffe go by your balcony :teeth:

Our leaves are falling away and will be gone soon, then comes the colder weather and snow :(

Autumn is really a beautiful time of year. Me and my dad were driving down past Buckingham Palace yesterday and the Mall with its tree lined pavements either side all golden, reddy orange. So pretty :cutie:

Yes defo go to the Zoo when you come over again :)

Loving your TR so far. We are going next fall and I can not wait after seeing your pics of MK all decorated. The food pics were great, everything looked so yummy I decided to put Cali Grill and LTT on my list for ADR's, we are doing the DxDP too!

Great day at the zoo! I love gorillas too! It does look cold there though.

The London Zoo looks like fun. I can't believe how cold it is there already.
Great pictures!!

Thanks, it was a nice day out. The beauty of the passes is that we don't have to see everything in the Zoo on that day, we can always come back again as the journey isn't that bad to get to from home.

It is soooo freezing here and it doesn't help that its rainy and windy too :(

Sounds like a lovely day! :goodvibes I LOVE your Disney shirt!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks :) Its also a great shape as well, it that it just falls on you and doesn't really cling. So its nice and loose :teeth:

Hi and :welcome: thanks for joining in :)

Halloween in Disney we think is the best time of year to go. The park looks amazing all decked out for Halloween and the parties are so much fun too. Are you going to one of the parties?

Great choices for restaurants, defo do LTT for lunch as its a nice break in the day. With Cali if you can't get a ADR in time for the fireworks, you can always come back later and show your receipt and they should let you watch the fireworks then :)

Great day at the zoo! I love gorillas too! It does look cold there though.

Thanks :) We could have spent ages in the Gorilla house, but its so popular that they only let a few people in at a time at the mo because of noise control.
