Poor Unfortunate Souls ~ A Spooktacular Trip Back to the World! UPDATE Reality Check

Yep, can't wait to see how BatB look and have never seen Fantasia before so looking forward to watching that too :)

Sounds like your having a good weekend too, I saw on your thread that you have ordered your bridesmaid dresses, not long to go now :)

Day 3 - Saturday October 2nd
Shopping day today!!! :yay: I woke up early this morning and decided to let Dave sleep in a bit, so I sat on the balcony for a little while. Was lovely and peaceful, if not a bit chilly, to just sit and relax.

Dave woke shortly after and went out to get breakfast.

Tonga Toast and a Mickey Waffle. Dave says the TT was awesome, but soooo filling. My MW was awful, tasted like it had been cooked 2hrs ago

We got ourselves ready and hopped on a bus down to DTD to catch a cab to Mall at Millenia. A shorter ride than the last time we cabbed it. Really does pay to catch one from DTD.

We arrived at MaM shortly after opening, Dave had to brace himself as this mall was mostly for me and he knows what I am like when I am in my shopping element :teeth:

We hit Macy's first where I picked up some Baby Phat jeans, then on to Ed Hardy where Dave scored a few tee's on sale. We hit up alot of shops that day, but my main purchases were a Juicy tracksuit, jeans from American Eagle, a charm from Pandora and some gorgeous hoop earrings from Swarovski.

We had lunch in the food court from the same place as last time, yummy.

Then it was on to Prime Outlets for Dave, where he did quite well. Scored some jeans from Calvin and a few tees from Ralph and Tommy. We also treated ourselves to a strawberries and cream frappa from Starbucks.

After shopping we went back to the resort for a short siesta before getting ready to go to dinner at MK.

Dinner tonight was at...

We were a bit early and couldn't check in just yet, so Dave went off to take some pictures.

Finally we were called and given our invitation to diner with Cindy.
WDWTrip2010369.jpg

We had our photo taken, Cinderella loved my top and was very happy that I wore it. We got the photo here and I will scan it when I get a chance.

Cntd...

After we had our picture taken we sat down in this cute little alcove to wait for our name to be called.

WDWTrip2010380.jpg

Our name was called and up the stairs we went.

WDWTrip2010381.jpg

Our table was in the best spot ever!!! Right next to the window overlooking the carousel.

WDWTrip2010382.jpg

Our cute menu

WDWTrip2010386.jpg

Our server was lovely and told us a great idea for a scrap book memory. She told us to get the princesses to sign our invitation. Awesome idea and we got siggies from all of then.

We ordered our food and then the princesses came out for their meet and greet.

First up was Snow White, she was really nice and cute.

WDWTrip2010389.jpg

WDWTrip2010390.jpg

Then Aurora, she loved my shirt too

WDWTrip2010391.jpg

WDWTrip2010392.jpg

Then Ariel stopped by, she was too cute giggling away and playing with her hair.

WDWTrip2010393.jpg

WDWTrip2010394.jpg

and last, but not least, my fav princess Belle

WDWTrip2010395.jpg

WDWTrip2010396.jpg

Then our server came out with our drinks and some bread, or that could have been beforehand, can't remember now.

WDWTrip2010397.jpg

Our photos were also dropped off and came in this cute little presentation frame/booklet.

WDWTrip2010398.jpg

WDWTrip2010399.jpg

Starters

Dave went for the cheeseboard and loved every bit of it. Which is strange for him as he's not really a cheeseboard kinda guy (that all changed after this meal).

WDWTrip2010400.jpg

I went for the salad, but there was a weird dressing on there that I didn't like, tasted like cumin or something (like liquorice which I hate!)

WDWTrip2010401.jpg

Then the lights dimmed and Wishes began. I didn't expect to be able to see the fireworks at all being that it goes on above you, but let me tell you if you ever score this table you are in for a real treat. We saw the fireworks go off from the sides and above the carousel. Best view ever!!!

Then out came our main course. Dave went for the roasted beef tenderloin.

WDWTrip2010429.jpg

I went for the fried chicken and substituted the macaroni for mash.

WDWTrip2010430.jpg

The chicken was delish and went really well with the mash (god I love Disney mash). The beef tenderloin I am told was very good, but a bit on the lukewarm side.

Our plates cleared, our server came back with a big silver dish, placed it front of me and this was what was underneath.

WDWTrip2010431.jpg

I was so surprised, it was beautiful and on the bed of roses so romantic, it's also engraved with the words "Dave & Stef Together Forever". My baby knows how to make me smile bless him :lovestruc But the surprise didn't stop there, she came back with this...

WDWTrip2010432.jpg

The lovely Sophia and Joe had also bought us a Cinderella Slipper Dessert on a sponge bed. I was so surprised, I loved it having always wanted to try one of these bad boys. Thank you again for this, you were very naughty, but it was sooooooooo good, chocolate, sponge and strawberries, Yum-Mee!

We also still had our meal desserts to come, so we asked our server to box up the slipper as I wanted to savour each bite of that slipper.

Cntd...

For dessert Dave went for the Creme Caramel.

WDWTrip2010434.jpg

I went for the Chef's Dessert Trio

WDWTrip2010433.jpg

Dave wasn't a big fan of his dessert, but I think its because he didn't really know what creme caramel was bless him. Mine was delish and just right being on the itty bitty side :teeth:

This night was so special and by far the best meal of the whole trip (IMO). We asked our server to take a pic of us.

WDWTrip2010435.jpg

WDWTrip2010436.jpg

It was an EMH night and we were excited to experience MK late at night. We stopped off at Sir Mickey's and I picked up my black sequin Minnie Ears I had seen earlier. Love those ears, can't wait to get more next year and see what they got in DLRP :teeth:

WDWTrip2010437.jpg

Took a few night pics before wandering over to Frontierland

We caught a little bit of the MEP. I must confess that we never actually watched the MEP :(

WDWTrip2010451.jpg

WDWTrip2010457.jpg

It was sooooooo busy that night and I was started to droop. So Dave said to call it a night. Took a few more pics on the way out.

WDWTrip2010481.jpg

I can't believe how busy it was.

WDWTrip2010483.jpg

Isn't he just goofy

All in all we had a fantastic time that night, CRT was an awesome dining experience, made even more special by the fact that we got an awesome table and those wonderful surprises from Dave and Sophia and Joe. Can't wait to go back and see if we manage to score the same table :teeth:

Your dinner at CRT sounds like it was amazing. That was so sweet of him to do that with the glass slipper!

We had the exact same seat at CRT in 2007!

Taken from our seats...

So mad the person who took this pic decided to squat!! Grrr, I wanted the background, silly!

Anyway, glad you were able to see the fireworks! That looks soooo awesome! And did Dave have that glass slipper arranged for you!?!? How awesome is he?!

Awwww, you have a glass slipper! How very sweet, I had no idea you could do that! Ariana was reading your update along with me and she absolutely loved the fireworks over the carousel. :goodvibes

What a wonderful CRT dinner! That's the first time I've seen Ariel there. I'll have to remember that tip about getting the signatures on the invitation - that would be a lovely keepsake.

Stefy, what an AWESOME update. What a nice surprise from Dave. And how sweet of Joe and Sophia for their lovely surprise too. We've never eaten at the Castle and I'm not sure we will, but I sure enjoyed seeing your photos with the Princesses and your meals. Your firework pictures are terrific...what a great table you got.

What an amazing view from your table!!! I can't wait to eat there next month!!! I will have to remember to get the signatures on the invitation. That is a great idea!

What an amazing experience at CRT!!! :goodvibes Sounds like a lovely evening! I can't believe your luck with that table... perfect!

You guys sure did luck out with that fantastic table by the window and your pics of the fireworks came out so good too !

Thanks :) The slipper was a total surprise and really sweet and he chose the perfect time and restaurant to give it to me too :lovestruc

Its such a great table right, secretly I think all the two tables are in the best locations (as you will see later on in the report).

The fireworks were awesome and to see them up close was amazing. Disney fireworks are like my new favourite thing :teeth:

Me either, was a wonderful surprise :) Watching the fireworks over the carousel was pretty cool and it was also cool seeing where some of the fireworks are actually set off too.

That's the first time we have ever seen Ariel for a picture. Defo use your invite for signatures, is a really cool souvenir to take home :)

Thanks :) They were lovely surprises and that cake and slipper was delish, although I almost didn't want to eat the slipper it looked so perfect

You should defo try CRT, the food is average for what it is (but still good all the same), we just really wanted to eat there for the experience of being inside the Castle and it was fantastic :teeth:

It really is worth the 2TS, just to be able to eat inside the castle is amazing and if you snag a fireworks time adr even better :teeth:

Thanks :) We really lucked out with the table. Wonder if our luck will stay the same for next year :teeth:

Thank you, can't wait to go back again :teeth:

We were about an hour into the meal and there was no sign of the slipper so I was starting to freak out lol. Sophia was the one who helped me order it and I know she was told it would be there when we got to our seats, so when it wasn;t I panicked!

I 'excused' myself and ran downstairs (yes, ran) to the check in desk and asked about it, they told me it was on the reservation and they would remind our server (who was brilliant by the way, she was friendly, helpful and very good at making us feel relaxed. I just can't remember her name :( now). I didn't think I would enjoy myself at all but the meal was good, the experience was great and I got a cool sword to keep as well :D

Hey guys, good morning from disney world! I'm sitting out on the balcony right now with a cup of coffee (waiting for everybody to get their butts out of bed) and just got all caught up. The glass slipper was so awesome and I would have been loosing it if it wasn't there too but the way they brought it out looks like it couldn't be more perfect. I can't wait to see more updates! You guys are making it easier for me to not skip out on a bus by myself and wait for everybody else to catch up at the parks :0)

What a wonderful night!! - made extra special by the fireworks and romantic touches:love: I ordered the chocolate slipper for DGrDs b'day lunch and she LOVED it.
We have lucked into that table (and the one next to it) many times - in fact when the kids and I were seated in the back corner last summer, we didn't complain for a moment - we reminded ourselves how much the families at 'our' window tables were loving their view.
I'll have to remember about that engraved glass slipper - DSon-in-Law is also very romantic and would love to surprise DD with a gift like that. You two remind me of them - too cute!! Loving the TR and the pics.:thumbsup2

Hiya how is the World? Bet it looks beautiful all decked out for Christmas :)

I would have been the same too if it was the other way round, but then knowing me I would ring the day before to make sure that everything was going ok being all control/planning freaky

Hope you are having a great time, make sure you let me know when you start your TR when you get back :teeth:

Thank you :) It really was a special night.

Your DSiL should defo look into getting the slipper engraved for your DD, she will love it and its so romantic :)

Looks like you guys had just an awesome experience at CRT. The photos you took of the fireworks are just amazing. I have never seen any like that before so they were just Wow! What a great time it must have been.

Loved the slippers. How romantic.

Thank you for sharing this special night. :flower3:

Thank you :) and thank you for reading along :)

The firework pics came out quite well, we don't have a SLR yet but the setting we used came out pretty well. I think at one point though the restaurant put the lights back on and we got a glare, but it wasn't too bad.

Hey All

Hope we are all doing ok.

So I thought that I would incorporate a PTR for DLRP into the thread. Have just got off the phone with dining and made our reservations. So excited :hyper:

I'll do dining first and then let you know day by day what we are hoping to do.

For arrival day dinner will be at
Walts.jpg

Walt's American Restaurant

Quite looking forward to eating here as it's in the Disneyland Park (MK) and apparently you can get a good view of the parade if you are seated near the window.

Next up for Day 2 is
Inventions.jpg

Inventions

A character buffet with an amazing array of food. Dave showed me some pics from someone's review and the food looks soooooooo good!

Last up for departure day is a personal favourite of ours
CafeMickey.jpg

Cafe Mickey

Looking forward to eating here again and also seeing what new characters will be wandering around.

So that's dining all sorted out. We added a meal plan on in the end as when we worked out for paying OOP it was too expensive, although either way is, at least we save some money with the plan :)

Will try and get a day by day plan down for you soon :)
