I think I was looking for something to perhaps avoid, not wishing to wrinkle anyone's magical moment. I don't think I have to worry about that!

I think that if you show kindness and respect to the CM, they show it back. I also feel that if you receive oustanding service make someone aware of this and if you receive poor service do the same. Those that provide quality consistent service need a pat on the back. Those that provide negative service need to be retrained. Since 1998, I have only had one problem with check in and it was not at the BCV. It was at the BWV. However, with that said, this CM was even giving her fellow CM's a hard time in front of the guests. I did talk to her supervisor and they said they were aware of it and would handle. I am sure they did! I even had a CM thank me for taking the time to talk to a supervisor about this.

I have visited WDW many times as both a DVC member, and non DVC member. I have always received the same great service.

As others have alluded to, we as members should return a little magic to the CM whenever possible.

This is one of those issues where there is plenty of blame to go around. Some CM don't meet expectations and some DVC members can be a pain at times. And I know that at times CM do view DVC members as second class guests when PH or asking for the discounts offered. And I can certainly see how they would feel this way if they don't understand the full background of the costs involved, promises made and perks formally offered by WDW and DVC. It's just human nature. IMO, the real blame goes back to DVC and Disney management in general for not educating and instructing the CM better. I know you can't make every CM user friendly but you can the ones that should be in their jobs to start with.
