Pool Hoping

Does anyone remember when you could??? I was looking through some pictures of WDW in 76 and being at the Polynesian pool. We were staying at the Contemporary

Oh yeah! We have pictures at the Poly too and we were camping in tents at Fort Wilderness!

I remember those days! We used to stay at Contemporary and Golf Resort (now Disney Inn) mostly, but we loved the pool at the Poly!

I have never understood why anyone would WANT to pool hop. You have to get in the car, drive over there, get out and walk to the pool and do it all over when you leave.

So much easier to swim in your own hotel's pool.

Even at the Beach Club, where the main pool is not a swimmer's friend, there are Quiet Pools where you can do a few laps.

But, to each, his own.

Back in the days when it was only MK, CR, FW and Poly, pool hopping was easy and allowed. You simply grab a pool bag, headed to the dock and waited for your boat of choice to get to whichever pool you wanted. FW had no pool, only the beach, CR had a very large square pool, no slide. The Poly pool had the only slide in town and nobody cared which resort you were staying at.

There is a way that you can still pool hop Let's say you are checking out of Disney's Wilderness Lodge on the same day that you are checking into Disney's All-Star Music Resort On this day you will be able to pool hop from the Wilderness Lodge to AllStars for the whole 24 hours in that day
