Just wondering if anyone has been to the Polynesian recently during the rehabs.

Does the rehab diminish the peaceful surroundings? Are there lots of workers coming and going, lots of noise from the building being worked on, is there equipment parked in the lots and around the resort for use during the rehab.

Are the barriers around the building under rehab distracting. I know the work has to be done and appreciate the effort, just wondering how it affects the resort and it's ambience.

We were there is December when rehab was going on and it was completely un-noticeable. In fact, had I not known from Tikiman's posts that rehab was going on, I never would have had an inkling.

Don't worry about it. I definitely will not impact your resort stay.

The Polynesian is just as peaceful and inviting as ever. We visited the resort last week during our trip, and I could not tell that anything was going on. I was wondering about that too, but I think the resort is looking fabulous! Probably because of all the refurbishing that has been going on.

We were there in February. They were renovating Samoa, which borders both the Volcano and Quite Pools. I barely noticed the wooden partitioning set up around the building because of all the vegetation and never heard a sound.

I probably would have never noticed had I not read these boards and known about the renovations going on. I don't think anyone with me noticed or heard noises.

When I was out walking in the morning I did notice a few workers showing up for work. They were very quite. Again if I had not known about the rehab's I probably would have never noticed them.
