Oh my goodness. Give the guy a break. So he used a few words that some took offense too. Is it really a crime? He wasn't making a personal attack against anyone he was just giving a review. As a new poster to the Dis what a bad impression he must be getting.

Don't first impressions mean something? Think about it. He's new to the DIS community. He starts off by making harsh comments (yes, I think describing it as "tacky" and calling the pool "poor" was a bit harsh) instead of being objective and giving a thoughtful review (even if negative).

I think that would get anyone off on the wrong foot in ANY community. As I said earlier, I like to read the negative reviews just as much as the positive because they help me to be a more educated consumer.

I just think it damages someone's credibility when they start describing their experience in a way that wouldn't be helpful to anyone. I hardly think that describing the Poly's pool as "poor" simply because he likes the pool better at another resort is completely unhelpful. I think a "poor" pool is a pool that's green, not well maintained, unclean, etc. Again, it's all matter of presentation.
