I would really, really like Fox News, so I could get the news instead of a bunch of liberal opinion.

Oh my. I thought it but I didn't have the guts to say it!:lmao:

Soap Net late at night would be good! :thumbsup2

That would be awesome - I forgot about that one! We could catch up on our soaps at night after a day in the parks!! Or even better - a long day inside on a Saturday/Sunday when we can watch a full week's episodes! (What a better way to spend a rainy day!)

:lmao: Yes, I know its sad, but even at Disney I still need to catch up on the Soaps!:goodvibes

Just came back last night from one week of pretty much solid rain!!!

Okay at Easter it also rained! We were able to watch QVC (hey it was important! Bare Essenctuals Makeup was on!!

This past week we could not get QVC!! What is up with that?? All of a sudden QVC was no longer available!

We watch late night TV - Did you know that the latest DVC resort is SSR?! Hmmmm that show needs to be updated! The goofy girl who gives the park tours has worn thin with my kids - the first thing that they said was, "Not this dumb girl - this is at least 3 years old!" We all laughed, because it truly seems outdated. I was bummed out about the rain, and was hoping to see cool videos of AKL and Hawaii, but No! It was all about buying the newest resort (NOT) SSR!!!

Fox news would be swell.

We understand the family concept, but adults like to watch TV too!! Especially when it won't stop raining!!

I'm just happy to watch Appliance Direct commercials. :thumbsup2

Heck, just watch them at home:

videos of the commercials now available for download to your ipod!!

Take Sam everywhere!!

:scared1:

I've never stayed at a DVC, but have stayed at a moderate and value. Do DVC villas have the standard "on demand" menu that most hotels in America have with PPV movies and other options. I would imagine it would be a good revenue stream for DVC. I would like to vote for that on the poll. :happytv:

I voted "yes" to more channels.
The more visits to WDW the less commando we get. Even when we visit the parks, we take a midday break during the heat of the day. Then there are times of inclement weather when we're stuck inside. This happened this July/Aug. We had three straight days of rain/clouds. It was enough rain that parts of the Orlando airport got flooded. We don't like doing the parks in pouring rain---particularily the few days we experienced that was more than just a hour or two of rain and then it stopped. We were joking that we weren't in "sunny Florida" anymore. We did end up going to the AMC theater because of lack of things to do. We got drenched just walking to and from the car in the parking lot to the theater. Would have been nice to have the option of a newer release movie on our TV.

So I know people make the comments like "we don't go to WDW to watch TV". Well neither do we, but there are "down times" where it would be nice to have the option. We don't run-run through the parks 24/7 anymore. Also, for parents who go back to their rooms while little ones nap---would be nice to have more channel options. My kids used to take 2-3 hour naps when they were little.

We tend to vacation during the summer because of school schedules. At times, it's been too hot/crowded to even stay at the pool. We like to go back to the room and chill.....or chill at the end of the night. My kids are very "not thrilled" with the lack of stations in WDW. When we stay at our offsite timeshare we get every channel known to man (even some we'd rather not have !). We definitely like to decompress a little and chill in front of the TV while eating a meal or whatever once in awhile and feel we don't really get much in way of options of channels that we should.

No. Sadly, DVC villas have the standard "lame TV stations" that all Disney resorts have.:sad2:

OMG! Not being able to see QVC and Bare Escentuals is part of the reason I made this poll princess:

I voted that I don't watch that much TV, and I don't at WDW-but I could see a need for more channels at VB or HHI. If you get a rainy day at one of those resorts, good TV is very helpful. :happytv:

I have not been to the "world" since 2004. Do they still have Krissa doing the tours over and over and over again? or did they get someone new?

Yes some music channels for when you are getting ready to go out to are nice. We always have the music channels on at home and that is something we sorely miss.

Claire ;)

No it is now a girl named Stacy I believe. I would much rather look at Krissa or was it Krista? Either way, that is about the only new programming they had.

Would be nice if they at least had a full lineup of ESPN and not sure how anyone could live without The Food Network!!!

CNN and MSNBC are the best news channels around. No bias or slant like Fox News, but that's just my liberal opinion coming through, I guess. ;)

However, if it would make your vacation more enjoyable to have Fox on the TV while on vacation, then it really is okay with me.

Peace :hippie:

I voted yes. I am in the minority, I love watching TV while at WDW. We usually go back to the room during the day to rest and I like having the TV on. We also tend to not be night owls and I like to watch before going to bed. We were at the Grand Californian this weekend (I know it's not DVC yet) and we were disappointed there was no food network. One of our favorite things on vacation is watching cake baking competitions:rotfl:
