I know when booking a regular reservation (non points), as long as your reservation starts BEFORE the change from Value season to a more expensive season, you get the value price. Does it work the same for points? I want to go down December 11 for 6 days. The season change is Dec 14th. Will I pay value season points all week or will the same room require more points starting on the 14th? Am I even making sense? :confused3

Thanks

yes and you will definitely have to pay more points starting on the 14th.

points doesn't work like cash.

that is one reason why Dec 1-14th are so popular with members.

(the studios don't change....)

Yes, the points go up for the nights of the 14th and 15th, but it is only a couple of points different. A studio stays the same except for weekends, Eachof the other size units only go up 2 points except for weekends.

Actually the points change the night of the 15th not the 14th. Dec 1 through 14 is adventure season, the lowest point cost per night, Dec 15 through 23 is choice season, the second lowest point cost, and points only go up a little, Dec 24 through 31 is premier season, the highest point season for which the increase in points is significant. With DVC, you pay the points specified for the particular night in a vacation regardless of when you begin the vacation.

Oh, you are right! It would be the 15th and 16th that would be more. If you are checking out on the 16th you would not have any weekend points to deal with. (assuming that is for this year).
