Can I vent for a minute. Why is it that I have no where for me in this apartment? We have an extra bedroom but it's all my husbands. His office area, all his guitars (24!), the drum set and his guitar repair area. There is no place for me to have my stuff. Everything I have is spread about here and there in any drawer or shelf I can find. I have no desk, no cabinet to file things, no where to be organized. I'm trying to work, and take some online training classes, design my webpage but I have to do it all on the couch with no place to spread my things out. I can't find my damn photoshop disk so I can't edit some pictures I need. I am very annoyed at the moment and I'm beginning to stew.

I did last year. It did save time since the regular line was much longer (this was at ASMo). They had everything ready in a folder for us (except the room keys) and just went over the basics and sent us on our way. I was able to request a specific building and she found a room available and printed our keys.

Hmmmm...what time of day was that? I'm arriving in the afternoon, so I usually don't experience long lines. Part of me doesn't want to deal with any lines, but the other part of me likes doing check in with a human. I wasn't planning on doing anything that day...just going to DTD, so I'm in no rush.

Hmmmm...what time of day was that? I'm arriving in the afternoon, so I usually don't experience long lines. Part of me doesn't want to deal with any lines, but the other part of me likes doing check in with a human. I wasn't planning on doing anything that day...just going to DTD, so I'm in no rush.

We drove so it was probably late evening. But that was part of the reason I wanted the easier check in, I knew we would be tired. If you have no other plans then I wouldn't worry about it. Mostly what you are doing on line is just putting in your usual info-- name, address, phone, and then putting the credit card info you want to have on your account, if you want one. I can't remember if I still had to show the card at check in, I think I probably did.

The express is really more that you can't do anything funky. Can't ask to switch half your family members to another room, or get paper tix instead of on the room key, have them make your ADR's for your trip, or ask a bunch of questions like can you use your refillable mug from last trip, what is the quickest way to hop to the Poly pool, etc.... And they don't go over all the details with in depth instruction on the dining plan (that no one listens to anyone then complain later they didn't understand it), or lovingly hand you each park map an go over the weekly Times Guide and all that. It is in the folder, they confirm that eveything is correct, show you where on the map your room is and send you off.

She actually did start to explain the dining plan to me and I told her that was okay, I understood it. We just wanted to get to bed.

Have any of you done online check-in for a WDW hotel? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it--does it really save any time?

It's worth it. Everytime I have used it our room has been ready and we always get there early (between 9 and 10). I know not everyone has had that experience, but I'll take the time to do it just for the chance. I think it does make it quicker, too. And you are still checking in with a human, they just all ready have your info.

Thanks for the advice guys! I think I'm going to do it. What the heck.

and I right now, I have no plans for my last full day (thurs sept. 8). I'm trying to decide if I should just wing it or make an ADR for breakfast. I'm leaning toward winging it that day. Maybe even going to the bus stop & whatever park bus comes first, that is the bus I will get on.

Ha ha! Mine are both in school now. The youngest has been begging to go for a year now. Yesterday he had his little backpack and was all excited. At the end of the day he was beat down and didn't want to go ever again.

We're gonna have to get his teacher like a summer home for a Christmas present.

I hate school. DS HATES school. This semester is going to be so hard.

Latest at work is showing the stupid lead how to reply to all on an email! She didn't understand why it only went to one person, not to everyone! My boss is going to talk to her boss and have tis stupidity stopped! He doesn't want a crazy lady (or more crazy) on his hands!

On the homefront, my lovely DD17 put 13 pounds of frozen chicken from Costco in the refrigerator on Sunday, not in the freezer! Of course it's all thawed now! Andrew looked at a food handling site that said we could freeze it again. Any thoughts?

As for year round boarding school....Thanks alot...now I have to decide between unlimited Disney trips with cabana boys and year round boarding school.

I think you would be ok with the chicken. I'm not an expert, but do tend to err on the side of caustion with that stuff, and I think I'd re-freeze and use it.
