Just made a delicious dinner of short ribs in a red wine sauce, buttered noodles, brussel sprouts and sourdough bread. I'm stuffed now. But that foot sure looks good.

I think I have locusts in my front yard.

Speaking of lesbians...did Tig tell you she had an article published in Lesbian Connection magazine? I haven't read it. I did google 'Lesbian Connection Magazine' to see if I could find the article so I could read it though.

I didnt find it. My husband, however, did notice that my google search consisted of hunting for lesbians.

Came home from work and he's standing in the kitchen looking at me very strangely. I asked what was wrong. He replied "Would you like to tell me why you are googling lesbians?". I explained about Tig and her article and that I wanted to read it. He replied "Isn't that the same women you met in some hotel in Disney World?"

I had some 'splaining to do.

Morning! Lots of catching up to do!

May I have a do over of my morning so far?
1) woke up 45 minutes late
2) was 15 minutes late to work
3) ambushed before I even sat down or turned my computer on by both the lead and manager of the area I support
4) discovered my time is not as important as others time. While having a conversation with the lead in #3 later concerning what I was ambushed about, another person walked up. She decided she needed to talk with them instead of me.
5) had another plant send me the incorrect part, so now have to wait for correct part
6) have this weird floaty thing in my right eye. It doesn't hurt, but everytime I move my eye, it moves and makes it look like I'm playing a video game in my eye or have one of those bubble level things in my eye and have to get the bubble lined up just right. It's very annoying.

I've only been here at work 2 hours, I'm wondering about the rest of the day.

So, when are the elections? I need to make campaign posters!

My girls hate it when I get up with them on school mornings. They are both very independent and have their routines and love their free time in the morning and I mess them up because I have to be the mom and ask them if they ate breakfast, do they have all their stuff, are you really going to wear that, did you put your dishes in the dishwasher etc... Most of the time even if I am up I will stay in bed and out of their way. It is less stressful for all of us.

That's one good thing about being to work at 5:30 every morning! I don't have to deal with the offspring in the mornings!

I got some healthy and some not so healthy. I did get low fat hot dogs, a bunch of yogurt and cottage cheese for me. I got chips, sugary cereal, vanilla wafers and graham crackers. That is a pretty unhealthy splurge for us! I will probably go and get some fresh fruits and veggies on Friday. I have really been trying to avoid most processed crap and I just bought a huge cart full-- more than I have in the entire last 8 months put together.

Get home and get the mail and joy of joys, my name has been selected for jury duty. No official summons but I have to fill out a questionnaire and send it back. Unfortunately there is no where to mark things like "I believe in death penalty for all" or "guilty until proven innocent" which would probably get me out of it right away!

I did last year. It did save time since the regular line was much longer (this was at ASMo). They had everything ready in a folder for us (except the room keys) and just went over the basics and sent us on our way. I was able to request a specific building and she found a room available and printed our keys.
