I forgot one thing. I heard from my nephew and he just moved from Utah where he and his wife were living (they just got married last winter) and going to school at BYU to South Carolina where he's now going to grad school at Clemson (he's a smart kid). Anyway, they are planning on coming to my son's Bar Mitzvah. Add to more to the list. My house is going to be crawling with people--my family doesn't believe in hotels. :rotfl: I wouldn't have it any other way and I'm going to be so glad to see Patrick--he's my favorite, if truth be told. This Bar Mitzvah is going to be overrun with non-Jewish relatives. :rotfl2: Will be a wild time and I have really started to tell people to bring their sleeping bags. My mind is jumping from where am I going to sleep people to what am I going to feed them. :cool1: And we still haven't ordered the invitations--that's tomorrows chore, but we did decide on which one and will probably order them over the internet.

How did he like BYU? My DH has a very deep seeded dislike for the school, which is interesting considering that he gets free tution there because of his job.
Could you set everyone up in tents in your back yard. Tell the neighbors you decided to open up a campsite. Do you need ideas for recipes for meals- I'm your girl if you need help in that department.

punkin- I'm sorry that you didnt get the job. I know that you were very excitied about the opportunity. What kind of law do you practice?

I don't currently. That's part of my problem. I quit my part time job (MSHA and OSHA litigation) in June where I worked for two years. Prior to that I was home with the kids for 5 years. Before that I did securities/antitrust/consumer protection class action litigation.

That's the problem with deciding to be a SAHM. There's no real way to get back into a career.

I understand. I quit my job to stay home with my boys and now I'm not sure how to jump back into the workforce when the time comes. I'm sorry that things arent working out right now.

Aren't boys fun! Zack is 4 and Breckin is 2.5 and they keep me hopping, but I've had a chance to look at the world in a totally different way since they joined our family.

Don't think I haven't thought about the tent idea. But then I'd have to make sure I could find an area of the back yard where the dogs haven't pooped AND I'd have to keep them from peeing on the tent. :rotfl2: That would be the problem!

Recipes...we're vegetarian, so that's the challenge. Not that it's a challenge in general for us and most of the people coming are fine with it, but it's harder to think of things. There's one of those Meal Prep places not too far away that might be doing a vegetarian session next month. I thought that would be perfect so I can easily get some meals in the freezer (without worry about getting pet hairs in those meals! :teeth: ). And I'll do things like have a Mexican food night, baked ziti, baked mac & cheese, etc. Things I can make in advance and freeze, for the most part. There won't be many nights that we're all together.

As far as I know my nephew liked BYU. He did well--was an astro physics major, so a brainiac. He was homeschooled most of his life and went to public high school eventually (once my sister couldn't teach the math to him anymore). He's the nephew who so reminds me of my 6yo, which is what has always given my hope that Jake would grow up ok, assuming Jake reaches adulthood in one piece. :rotfl: They moved around a lot since they were military and lived most of his early childhood in Europe.

T&B- I am going with a group of adult family and friends. It is my sister, her DH, my BF and her DH, my cousin and a friend of hers. My sis, BF and the friends husband are going down for Nights of Joy and the rest of us are just going to go. My other cousin was supposed to come but he flaked out at the last minute. He and my BIL were going a day early on Wednesday. So my BIL is going by himself and sleeping. :rotfl: His job has been very stressful lately and he just needs to go and get away from it all so he said he would just go and get some rest.

You know you could always check out Target and see if they have blow up mattresses on clearance.

Hi guys!! Just stopping in quick to say hello in the midst of packing. This whole travelling the whole trip with the longest stay in one place being two nights is really throwing off my usual system. I said to DH the other night, "You know why we go to WDW so often? Because it is EASY!" He tells me we have a map, we have some money and anything I forget we can find it. I am considering forgetting his socks to see how he feels about that. (I have somehow forgotten to pack his socks on two different trips to FL. I must have a subliminal thing about his socks.)

Got the boys backpacks today so everyone can pack their own bag of tricks for the road.

Well, break is over. Better go.

Boys are great! I cannot believe how much my life has changed and how my views on the world have changed since they came to into my life.

Yep. That and the alcoholism. ;)

I still haven't done anything. Talked to dh on the phone for a bit. He is in Cairo playing poker. Shopped online at Gymboree. Didn't actually purchase anything because I can't get the total to below $450...although the kids REALLY need clothes and it IS Gymbucks time... :rolleyes1
I am going to pack a couple of suitcases soon. I promise. :teeth:

Perhaps I could direct you to a couple of threads to occupy your time? ;)

Already on it Miss J. :thumbsup2

DM3, have a great trip! I've forgotten bras on trips before, so I think forgetting your DH's socks isn't too bad. :teeth:

We need links for any good threads. Not that I don't have things to do around the house.

Merle, I'm going to buy an Aerobed and we have lots of couches. A couple of them "make out", as my sister calls it. :rotfl: One of them is a love seat that makes out. But I think I will check out Target to see what neat things I come up with. Always a fun time. :cool1:

Awww, now I see the link. I'll have to check it out.

Nasty! And I was almost agreeing with the witch on that thread and I laughed out loud to her post before the nasty one. It was actually clever and thought maybe something had been surgically removed from somewhere. But, nope, or if it was, it jumped back in where it so belonged! Why do some people like to be hated? She seems to try hard to be disliked, which I don't understand. Like it's a badge of honor. :rolleyes1 Oh, well, if someone like her actually liked me I'd be worried. And if I made her list, I'd be honored. :teeth:

Duck :lmao: :lmao:

Well, we probably shouldn't get going too much on that old list again, but she was always tops on my list before, if you KWIM (and I'm not talking teva/BOMB's love interest :rotfl2: ) .
