Our best days for EE and midday breaks were MK/DHS with LLMP & LLSP. Hands down. We skipped Space Mountain. Extremely happy with how those days turned out. LLMP & LLSP for MK/DHS took our waits down to 20 minutes max. Made it out of the parks by noon and back to the parks by 6pm till close. Our EE to Epcot & AK last year with a midday break took us out for the rest of the day. We never made it back.
This upcoming trip we're choosing Epcot's EEH over EE for the first time ever. Going to sleep in and get a late afternoon start to EEH close. I think if EE was an hour long at Epcot instead of 30 minutes I would reconsider. If Test Track wasn't in refurb, I would definitely reconsider. There's just too much space and walking at Epcot to make EE truly worth it there with Test Track still in refurb. Going with LLSP for Epcot Guardians since I was too chicken to ride it. Skipping LLMP for it since it's truly not needed. Husband is happy he gets to sleep in for the first time ever on vacation.
