I was able to sleep in this morning until after 10:30. Very unlike me to sleep so late (especially with the barking neighbor dog ), but I must have needed it. I still don't feel well, though.

Hello, all!

Thanks T&B for the info on King's Dominion! It was soooo crowded yesterday we hardly got to do anything. I don't recommend going with big groups of people. We spent a lot of time twiddling our thumbs while people were deciding what they wanted to do.

Bb, too bad the park was so crowded. What did you get to do? How long were the waits? I'll remember to never go on a Saturday. We drove by Kings Island yesterday on our way out of town and I couldn't believe how crowded the parking lot was 10 minutes after it opened. We're planning on going to Kings Dominion again one day next week.

Good Afternoon!

I made a huge mistake saying yesterday that my day was peaceful and nonhectic. Things changed overnight. Both of my boys have developed colds. Not a little cough here and a little runny nose, we are talking about buckets and buckets of snot. Zack was semi-awake most of the night, poor kid was in that dream like state that you get when your sick and cried and screamed all night long. I just got him calmed down and my Mom called (around 2am) asking if I could look up her Vet's phone number.
My parents have a dachshund that has been a nightmare pet for years now. Poor thing had major back problems and lost an eye a year ago (my boys called her the pirate dog). Honestly, the dog's quality of life has not been that great for years and years, but my Mom was very attached to the little furry monster and I think at times it was hard for her to be rational about her. The dog had hurt her back again and was in major pain. My Mom doesn't handle things like this well so I spent a good portion of the rest of my night talking to her. She had to put the dog down this AM and is very upset. I feel so bad for her, my dogs are important part of my life and it's no different for my Mom.
A few other family issues that DH and I are not directly involved in have become stresses and that leaves a weekend that has been less that restful. I'm now medicated with a Hershey bar and a Coke.
