Kimmie I am so sorry I missed this :grouphug:

OMG I missed it too. You poor thing :grouphug:. How are you feeling Kimmie?

Shug, you have really good garbage where you live. DH had gotten a lot of his furniture from dumpster diving and it was all nasty and Ikea-ish.

Thanks for the compliment Bonnie :)

Okay, I'm back. My disaster is becoming smaller and smaller. I hate it when I'm clumsy (seems to happen alot lately). However, I emailed my husband and whined about the whole affair and he has decided that take-out is in order for dinner tonight. Hmm, maybe I should create these little accidents more often :) . Sounds like everyone had an exciting weekend. I'm sorry about the hangovers and dehyrdation. Shug, I hope that you're feeling better soon. T&B- wow, the bleacher accident sounds a little bit hazardous. I'm glad everyone is doing okay. How did Zach do in the tournment?
Chuck- no traveling today? What are the plans for the week? LiteBrite, How is the decision about your DD living in the dorms coming? BB, I've been reading your tea party thread, I just haven't come up with anything witty to say there yet, ya'll look like you're having fun.
I'm still catching up, so if I missed anyone give me a moment and I'll get back to you.
well DW got off work at 12:30 today, abd she went to wal mart (w/DD's), and she is going to pick up meds at the pharmacy, I have been on the phone most of the day so far, and looks like a trip to andalusia alabama and pensecola florida will be made before friday, plus when they get through with the service job on the harley I will have to go to meridian mississippi to pick it up one day this week :teeth:

Here's another DM story for you all:

On Thursday night about midnight I heard my mother in the kitchen and I could tell she was taking medication. Friday morning she was complaining about having a migraine, she was so sick and dizzy. Yet she went into the kitchen and was slamming the lid to the freezer and the microwave. While I'm at work I get a call from her telling me she is going to the hospital, she is really sick and has been throwing up. I was leaving work early to take my DN home to VA and I get home to find her laying in the middle of the floor, curled up. I go up and ask her what is she doing and she tells me she can't walk. I ask her about going to the hospital and she tells me she didn't call her friend to take her and that she doesn't need to go. Several minutes later she is running around the house trying to find my DN dress she had hung up to dry and telling me she feels so much better, she doesn't know why she was so sick. I find out from my Dsis the medication I heard her taking was the Endocet she had for her back and she basically overdosed herself. :sad2: No wonder she didn't go to the hospital, she works there and that would have been a hard one to explain.
Whoa!!!! Do you get any help with her :grouphug:

First one to PM me their address can have my used and slightly drooled on copy of Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife. I just started the 2nd, you can't have that yet :rotfl:

Kimmie, I must have missed what medical problems you were having. Or I'm having a mind fart. Can you refresh my memory?

Shug, I'm supposed to PM you my address about another book--a dog book, but I forgot the name. Is that offer still on the table? :teeth:

Marley & Me, you'll love it!!! Just waiting for your address to send it out. I buy so many books and then they just sit there. Seems a shame to donate them when someone around here wants to read them too.

Shug I think you may need to pop some perks and then visit the pot thread :smokin:

PP this cabinet is all handmade, my guess is around 40 years old. I don't want someone elses DIY crap that I can get at Walfart. I also refuse to recycle anyone's upholstered stuff. Lord knows what bugs are living in it. I'm all for freebies though. Freecycle.org is great. I got 8 really long honey colored wooden curtain rods. The exact rods would run me about $30 each at Walfart. I check them and the freebie list on Craigslist daily. We are so broke we can't afford to pay attention but we quickly furnishing our house with some great stuff this way!

PP when is your Dr. appt? I can so identify with the agony of waiting.

Hey, is anyone here a hair stylist?

PM sent for Marley & Me (not for the other one). I'll wait on that one. Read about dogs first before I move on to  ! :rotfl2:

Sore, tired, just plain yucky but it can only get better from here huh? I think I'm living in the Twilight Zone. I got a call from my workman's comp case manager. She's been very helpful, hasn't tried to fight me and seems to genuinely care. It's eerie.

I had to chime in on the pot thread. Great. I took a comment a little too seriously and now I'm going to regret my rather heated response I'm sure. You guys do have my back don't you?

Excellent post Shug!!! Of course we have your back!

Speaking of Pride and Prejudice, have you seen the A&E verson with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle? It's my all-time favorite movie.

I love that man. He is my sole reason for watching Bridget Jones. I have a son named Colin, but he really wasn't named after him.

Shug, that cabinet is amazing! How cool.

So are ya all ready to hear about my shopping weekend extravaganza? I will skip the shopping involved on Friday (but that is when I found the jackets for DH and I at Land's End ON clearance....yay!) Sat morning we got up at 6:30, left the hotel within the hour and got to the warehouse by a bit before 8, our tickets were for 8:15. We got in pretty much on time. (They can only allow a certain number of people inside at a time so sometimes, especially as the day goes on, they are running behind the time on the tickets.) It was wildly crowded. I found a doll, one of the ones I was considering for DD and it was wearing a different outfit than they usually wear. Considering that the outfits are easily $20, that was a bonus. After picking my doll, I wandered down to the area where the doll clothes were. Holy mackeral, that was crowded. I got the outfit DD was hoping for for her dolll and well, just a few more. It was appallingly hot in the warehouse and it is huge and filled with AG stuff. I did some wandering, some feeling pretty overwhelmed, got some great bargains and got a few things that after we got to the hotel I went "WTH was I thinking???" The 9 pairs of doll shoes fall into the latter category! :rotfl:

All in all, I got DDs Christmas dress, her First communion dress, three outfits (one of which MATCHES the one that the doll is wearing. YOu have no idea how excited I am about this.) Also got a set of jammies, a doll hair care book and kit, a bed with trundle, the outfits for the doll and doll herself and tons of books. If you have seen the AG books in the stores, they are usually $6-$10 each and they were $3 a piece so I picked up a lot for bday party gifts. We were in there for a bit over two hours and when we all went over our purchases, there were TONS of things the others had gotten that I hadn't even seen. Next year, I will NOT be buying the doll clothes as they are just not that much of a bargain, really. I will plan to buy more girl clothes as they were a steal. (The dresses I mentioned before were each $18 and had been priced originally at $70 each.) And most of all NO SHOES!!!

I have never been so hot in my life or seen so many people spending so much money. Truly it was amazing. There were people buying 10 dolls. Heck, my friend's mom bought 5! They are an average of $50 each. Of course retail, they would have been $90, but still! You sign a thing saying you agree not to sell things on ebay, but I am sure some of those people must be.

The line to pay by credit card was at least 150 people long. I was soooooo glad I was paying by check because I got to go past all of them and pay. I would have been waiting at least half an hour longer if I was using my card.

We did more shopping in cutesy little stores that afternoon, went out to breakfast the next day which was the longest effort to eat breakfast I have ever experienced and then came on home. :moped:

Shug your post on the doobie thread was amazing! I hope you opened a lot of people's eyes. I don't think anyone can disagree with what you wrote and only a complete moron would flame you for it.

Wow, Julie! That sounds like quite an event! My girls have some AG stuff and we went to an AG charity event once, whcih was really cute. But we've never been to AG place.

I also read that you are going to Yellowstone in the Fall. Will you be going to Jackson Hole? I went up to that area the past 4 summers (for about a week each time). I love it up there!
