You know...there are days that go by and I wonder if I have made any sort of positive energy change in the world. Today, I feel like I have made a difference for someone in need and that feels really good.

I am certainly not looking for a pat on the back...I just wanted to share how amazing this feels.

See what I mean! I couldn't belive I missed meeting them by ONE day this year. I seriously considered changing my plans, if it hadn't been Halloween!



That beyond Sucks. That stinky sucks.

But at least you found out before you started working there. The job that moved us here--waited until we were here and bought our house. 3 weeks AFTER we closed on the house they "reminded" DH that they were transfering the entire department to INDIANA within a year. Except they had never told him that in the first place. They were paying our moving expenses and closing costs etc... You would have thought it would have crossed their minds to fill in that little tidbit of informatin BEFORE they let us close on a house we would presumably need to sell 6-9 mo. later.

Needless to say, we did not move to Indiana and DH began a new job search immediately.

They are going to WDW in February, and want a dress for her to wear - she's 4, but very tall for her age - she wears a 7.

So all my lovelies, I saw the school nurse, who said my bp was slightly elevated which isn't unusual when there is pain present, and my pulse was good. She said continue to monitor, but she also said there isn't a lot to do until you have had a heart attack, because that's when the enzymes show up.......otherwise she said the doctors won't know anything. Does she know what she's talking about?

Anyhoo, I'll be careful.

My exchange present is ready to go, I just don't know when I will ever get to the post office. I also have something for that baby, if she ever shows herself.

Poor dh is so disappointed. He waited and waited for Rudolph to come on so he could watch it with his sons. They were very uninterested. They were having sword fights with empty wrapping tubes and he was yelling "I'm TRYING to watch this!"

Is it the Home one with the kids on it?

OK, I don't understand something about that. If these kids, all four of them NEVER eat food, NEVER, like they made it seem on the show there. They said that two are on full time feeding tubes. From my experience with a premie baby that I know of, he didn't start real food for years and that child had to go through long training to even learn how to or even have the desire to eat it. Now obviously the other two kids do eat food, like solids, but are very limited, I understand that, but the show of course makes it seem like they too don't eat a thing, ever.

Anyway, that family went to a hospital and they showed the family that the kids could eat sugar and gave them all this fruit. I don't understand how those kids were just chowing down eating all that, if they NEVER eat food! They really wouldn't be sitting there just eating away like that...again just from experience, especially the two that were on full time feeding tubes. And the parents had NO idea that the kids could eat fruit?????

I know that they blow many things about the families they build for, out of proportion, and I am sure they did them as well. But since you know more about them, can you comment on that stuff?
