Pluto e-mailed me.........I booked AKL

I just booked AKL, me and my DS12 are going to WDW on 11/9-11/14. We normally stay at a MOD, but since we were going twice this year I decided to stay at a value resort so I booked it. Then I got an e-mail from Pluto, and on the bottom of the e-mail was a pin# I called and I changed from POP to DELUXE it wil be a standard room, I was a sucker 1 day base ticket 5nights/6 days value $441, deluxe $1084. without the PIN# value 5 night/6days was $630 perfered with no ticket.

Should I be excited? what should I expect. With a standard room I know we won't see any animals.

I'm scared now! did I make the right choice? HELP ME PLEASE

You defintely should be excited. AKL is wonderful and the standard rooms are beautiful. You can view the animals from so many places. The pool and restaurants are great and it is truly one of the most relaxing places to be at Disneyworld.

AKL is awesome!! We loved staying there... there's so much to see, you could spend a couple days just wondering around! Do the 'hidden mickey search' (ask front desk for a sheet). Boma is wonderful, and so is Mara (the quick service place). The gift shop is so unique! You'll just love it!! Enjoy!

During the time you're going it's value season so you may get a free room upgrade to a savannah room view. We stayed there last august and got the free upgrade. We're going in December and have already been given the free upgrade.

You don't need a savannah room view to see animals. You can see them all along the hotel corridors and out back. It's nice to wake up and look out the windows to see giraffe's and all sorts of wildlife so close, but just being there will be an awesome experience.

I hope you get a free room upgrade upon check-in. It never hurts to jokingly ask "are there any free upgrades possible today?" Hopefully they'll say yes.

you do have to get at least a 1 day base ticket
