I wasn't sure what a MOD actually does, but when I asked I was told that it's basically just updating the stickies. Updating the stickies can't be that much hard work, especially as there's 3 of you!! There must be more to being a Mod than that, for you to say it's going to be hard work!! Do you have to put in a certain amount of hours per day? or a certain amount of posts? Do you have to check every thread for obscene content? Do you get paid? Sorry if I'm being nosey, I'm just really curios about MOD's and what they do.

Stickies are the threads at the top of the board that always stay at the top - usually containing information that people will need to see the most - maybe restaurant and top tips threads could be pinned too?

MODs also bump up threads that go unanswered, bump up threads that may be useful, wlecome new members and generally catalyse the smooth running of the board.

I've got to confess I was just lurking around the UK trip planning board when I noticed Reid's spiffy new signature!! (Well done Steve) So I had to come over straight away to congratulate the 3 new mods!!!

Who decides the moderators? I am a lurker because I just dont have time to sit and respond very often - but Diberry is one of the few who really stood out as someone who loved Disney and was an enthusiastic member of the forums (should that be fora!?)
There should have been a vote!
Congratulations on the three who did get those honoured positions - I dont mean to take anything away from you! However Diberry is special too!
