Here's the deal: I currently have a catagory 10 room (2133) booked on deck 2. I'm not really thrilled about being on such a low deck, but I liked catagory 10's split bathrooms.

I checked www.cruise-locator.com, and they have some catagory 11's available way up on deck 6. I know that they are slightly smaller rooms, and have no split bath.

Should I switch?

Can someone give me the scoop on whether the 10's are better than the 11's? Why?

THANKS :)

We were in a cat. 11 on deck 6 in January and loved it. 2adults, dd(10) and ds(2). Dd slept in bunk. We liked that when ds took an afternoon nap, it was very dark on the bed for him....just pull the curtain and read on the couch! Did we miss the split bath? Don't know any better because we've never had one! Enjoyed the cheaper price? You betcha! We also liked being on deck 6...we never felt too far away from any floor. Always took the steps instead of the elevator.....gained virtually no weight! Cat. 11 worked very well for us!

I would go with the higher deck and give up the divided bathroom. Thats the only big difference in Cat. 10 verse Cat. 11. If you can stand sharing the bathroom, and would be happier on deck 6, go for it!!!

Just back from the Magic. We originally had a Cat.12 on Deck 2 and moved to Cat. 11 on Deck 6 and were so glad of it. The elevators are always busy and that's alot of steps to walk up to deck 9. We were rarely in the room except to sleep and change clothes b/f shows and dinner. Go with deck6!!!!!!

On our 1st cruise we had a cat 11 deck 5- we LOVED it. On our 2nd caruise we were basically upgraded to a cat 8 deck 5 and LOVED it. On our 3rd cruise we knew that there was no way we could go back to no window, less room, and one small bath- we booked a cat 10 deck 5- secret porthole. It was ok- but I don't think we would go that route again. Our 4th is coming up- May 25- we have booked a cat 7 deck 5-

I think if you have never had a window or a split bath- don't- you can never go back! Our 1st vacation was awesome. We will always remember every detail about it- and we were in a cat 11.

I don't know if you know this or if they are just sold out but there are a limited number of cat 10's on deck 7 as well.

We loved our Cat. 11 on Deck 6 (6083)! We are just booking our next cruise (December), and have asked for the same room, or one nearby. We'll be three adults (Me, DH and DFIL), and we'll have plenty of space. We don't need the split bathroom, and I can think of about a million uses for those extra $$$!

We went on the 3/14 Wonder and stayed in a Cat 11 on the 5th deck - room 5627 - LOVED IT - our cabin was the first at the end of the all AFT - it was ALWAYS quiet, no overhead noise, and the bathroom was fine - no problem without the split bath
Change your category and enjoy the quiet!
Enjoy your trip - wish I was going again

Just got back and had a cat. 9 on deck 2. We loved the location. It was just one deck up to 3 where dinner was and that was the time the elevators were the busiest. The stairs to decks 3 and 4 are wide and gentle and if you are going to deck 9 0r ten if you use the aft or forward elevators we didn't wait long. Also there is very little motion on deck two and we found it to be very quite. We booked a secert porthole four next year and we are sorry it couldn't be on deck two.
