The times I've taken a tour charter was to Atlantic City and one time to Las Vegas, never to Orlando. There are no direct scheduled flights to AC from PIT (on USAir you have to take a commuter from PHL), so that is why I took them. They were gambling junkets and were cheap because the casino subsidized them (you pay indirectly!
). When we first when to Las Vegas in 1995, USAir did not have any daytime flights, so we took an Apple Tour charter. That was the absolute worst, an old 727, no empty seats and you had no room. Didn't even have a monitor for a movie. Almost 6 hours with a stop in Cincinnati to pick up the rest of the passengers.
