In addition to being a loving husband and father, Bob was key in creating the wonderful community that the DIS is today. He was a very early moderator and today a beloved member of the Podcast crew. I can't even count how many times Bob made me smile and downright laugh out loud. I never had the honor of meeting Bob, but feel like I have lost a friend. I can't imagine how his family and friends are feeling tonight. It is a very sad day indeed.

I am sorry. Loss hurts no matter how it comes.

I heard a preacher say once as he did his own mother's funeral that he knew the absolute best thing for HIM was that his mama would still be in the kitchen at breakfast every day making her best biscuits. But he also knew that for HER, the absolute best thing was to go be with her Lord.

I didn't know Bob. But anytime there is loss in a family my heart goes out. I really do not enjoy doing funerals. Yes, they are celebrations of life. But the pain of loss is real. A real quick high five and prayer for all who knew Bob and are now grieving his loss!!

I've been so sad about this news all evening. I was able to meet Bob at the DIS Podcast meets in December, and I was looking forward to seeing him at future events. He will be sorely missed . My deepest condolences to those of you were closest to him .
