Has Cindy ever said if Caylee ever talked about Zani?
Knowing alot of kids that go to babysitters, they talk about the sitter and what they do.
My other question is.. have cadaver dogs ever been to a dump where that dumpster was dumped?

I overheard some audio last night (on Nancy Grace?) where Cindy was saying that Casey would say that she and Casey were just staying at Zani's house since she worked late and had to go in early. So yes at least according to what Cindy is saying, she had been told that Zani was watching Caylee

Telling her mom that she was staying with Zani was probably better than saying she was staying in the car, a drug house, ***** house and Lord knows where else. You have to remember every thing or almost every thing that comes out of Casey's mouth is a lie. It doesn't matter what she told her mom, it's just not believable.

My father use to be a homicide det. I remember one case where a man was convicted but the body was sort of never found. The man was buried at a construction site, later the workers poured the slab for the new building. The workers remember the smell. I know there was much more to the case but that was yrs ago. It is possible but difficult to be charged without a body.

Yeah, but did Caylee ever talk about her? Did Grandma never ask her "how was your slepp over with Zani?" or "did you have a good time with the babysitter today?" My Mom would have asked those things of my kids when they were little.

Kinda odd that Caylee never talked about Zani spending so much time with her. Or that Cindy never asked Caylee about what she did with the sitter. Especially since Zani watched her for a year and a half.... nothign adds up with that.

What dumpster are you guys talking about up there? Where the car was?

As I was reading this last page I thought about all those stuffed animals that the grandfather threw out - I know this is crazy and far fetched - but what if they had cut her up and put little pieces in those stuffed animals? What if that is why they were throwing them out? Like I said I know it is crazy but that's what I thought of while reading. Sorry my mind is so off the wall.

I dont think its too far out there.... these people did something really bad, we just dont know what. You could be right. Who knows.

This is probably really old news, but I guess I hadn't paid enough attention to it before - I was just listening to a taped radio interview with LP about the Anthony's $2 million dollar offer from Lifetime TV (which he thinks could go up to $5 million), and one thing he mentioned was that Casey got the Zanny name from a book.

So I looked up books with the words Zanny the Nanny and hmmm - there are a few for 5th & 6th graders, especially some in a series by Kathyrn Lasky, one is called "Double Trouble Squared: A Starbuck Family Adventure" and here's some info:

When their father quits his job and goes on an environmental strike, the older Starbuck set of telepathic twins, girl Liberty, and boy July (the month), are greatly embarrassed. When their father brings his environmental stuff to a school assembly, July, Liberty, and their mother help convince him to take a job under the ambassador in England. Liberty and July, Charly and Molly the five year old twins, Dad, and Zanny the Nanny, move to England.

and

Soon after twins July and Liberty (born on the 4th of July) find out their father, Putnam Starbuck, had quit his job at the CIA, they find out they are going to live in London. Their mother, Madeline Starbuck, cannot leave her job as the largest manufacturer of tutus in the United States. Because of this, their occasional babysitter, Zanny, also a schoolteacher volunteers to go along as the nanny.

The second book in the series is "Shadows in the Water: A Starbuck Twins Mystery, Book 2" and is about:

In this sequel to Double Trouble Squared (HBJ, 1991), the Starbuck children (two sets of telepathic twins) head to Florida where their father investigates toxic dumping. When the Starbuck family moves to a houseboat in the Florida Keys, Liberty and July discover they share a wonderful telepathic link with the dolphins in the area. When they find that someone is poisoning the water with toxic waste, and that the creatures of the Keys are dying, the twins must stop the culprits before it’s too late.

With the Florida reference, I wonder if this was something her school had on it's reading list back then. I would love to know if these were some of her favorite books growing up!

Then another A Voice in the Wind, a Starbucks Twins Mystery # 3:

Zanny Duggan was their all-time favorite babysitter. And when the Starbuck twins went along on business trips with their father, Putnam, Zanny became Zanny the Nanny, teacher as well as babysitter. Madeline Starbuck, the children’s mother, owned and operated the largest tutu factory in the United States—Starbuck Recital Wear—and could not spend extended periods of time away from the business. She joined the rest of the family for a week or so each month when they were away. But someone had to be there on the spot for the four youngsters, and Zanny was everyone’s first choice. Since she was a teacher, too, and made learning about a thousand times more interesting than it usually was in school, the Starbuck children had simply not gone to school recently. And Zanny had seen to it that they were way ahead in every subject.

The jail person did say that Casey read constantly while she was in custody, so maybe that started when she was young. Maybe she mixes characters from books and movies in with her fantasy life.

And when she supposedly got the call from Zanny who put Caylee on the phone -- she told cops with a straight face that Caylee was talking about a book she read. Of course, from her phone records, that call didn't happen, but maybe the nugget of truth was the book part. :confused3

Just another something to think about.

The Zanny the Nanny is one theory out there but Cassey also had a last name for Zani. The more likely theory IMHO is that Casey was involved somehow with the break in at the real Zani's work (I believe it was work and not home)

Do we know if LE showed a pic of Casey to the apartment people where the info card with Zani's name was on file. I would think that they did.

I dont buy the Zanny the Nanny story, nor do I believe Casey ever told Cindy they were sleeping at the nannys, if this was true Cindy would not have been so frantic trying to locate them for a month...IMO

Good detective work, maybe that is a tidbit that should be passed onto LE

I don't buy it either.
I have heard the book theory as well.
I think that as an experienced liar. By calling Zanaida "zanny" to her..it was a way of personalizing a non existant relationship.
I bet I could say Mary was my nanny..Mary is a popular name..and what do ya know..there is Mary Poppins another popular Nanny.

I don't think the two go together.

Where can I find the info on Zanaida's work being broken into? I didn't hear about that?

I have a timeline. I am trying to peice everything together...:guilty:

I do think she pulled the name Zanaida out of the phone book, maybe looking for a name that would match the "Zanny the nanny" that she told family about. When she needed to come up with a story and needed an actual name she had to find names that would fit with Zanny. Starts to look under some common names in their area and finds a name at random that fit in with the name Zanny.

It was weeks ago. The bounty hunter mentioned this on Nancy Grace and it has been all over Websleuths for awhile. The book in question is for more of a pre-tween type age group and not for Caylee's age. There has been speculation that Casey either had this book as a child or was familiar with it.

The real Zenaida Gonzales (the one that looked at the apartment) is suing Casey Anthony now. I can't imagine what ZG's life is like right now.

I don't think she pulled it out of the phone book either. But Zanida did do babysitting for others in the area. IMO: she probobly "looked into it" meaning..she may have seenthe ad in the paper or wherever..and then hooked on to it. And from what she told Jesse Grund..it was just a name she used for her nanny for YEARS. So it just stuck. And the lie continues.

I think the Zanny the Nanny story is bogus. She was reading alot while in jail..they said she was reading LAW BOOKS, trying to get herself out of trouble. Not reading the best of Danielle Steel.

But who knows..I could be wrong.

I don't believe Cindy was frantically trying to locate them for a month. Everything I've heard points to her not being frantic until the car was found.

I can't find the info on the robbery right now.

Why wasn't Cindy frantic that month? I mean, i have to say..If i were the one RAISING my granddaughter and then she just left my home not to be heard from for a month..I would be UPSET, and Worried a week later. To say the least.
Of course, I think there is a HUGE chunk we are missing.

I missed all that. LP mentions a lot of stuff on NG and I'm not sure how much of it he makes up for the drama effect or how much he really thinks he knows. I did hear that the real ZG is suing Casey and I say more power to her. Her life must be hell right now.

There is just so many twists and turns and lies in this case that my brain can't wrap round half of it.
