Well, Michelle and I figured she was the best one to do it, if any of you all wanted to actually READ a trip report! ;)

(We are both still on Day 2 of our October trips! Slow pokes!) :sad2:

But we will comment! :goodvibes

Thanks Monica! Love ya!

Sara

Thanks for all the well wishes for our trip! We really had a fantastic time! We can't wait to share with everyone! :goodvibes

Hey everyone! Just wanted to bump us up so you could see our new title and intro. I'll write an actual installment tonight!

Sara left Virginia on Wednesday, stayed in a hotel, then drove the rest of the way on Thursday. Michelle only lives 2 1/2 hours away so she drove up that morning, and I flew in. My plane left at 10:45am and boy was I nervous! I hadn't flown in 10 years and although I love to fly, the check in and security process makes me uneasy. The whole gang took me to the airport, including my mom. Whatever will they do without me for 4 days?! My stomach was so queasy I didn't eat breakfast. We enter the airport and it was empty! Like eery, Twilight Zone empty. My kids wanted to see the luggage go around in baggage claim, but there wasn't any! I was literally the only one checking in. My bag weighed in at 23lbs. Woo hoo! That leaves room for 27lbs worth of souvenirs! Security was a little more crowded. I said my goodbyes and my family left me to fly off to meet my internet friends. But not before my mom said, "I hope this isn't a trick"! I said, "You mean like a practical joke?" Thanks alot mom!! Now I'm realizing that I am flying to Orlando, alone, assuming someone that I've only met once is going to actually pick me up and I'll have somewhere to stay! I think I'm going to be sick...

Once I was on the plane my nerves calmed down. Most people get nervous once they are on the plane, I feel better. :upsidedow I was literally giddy when the plane was taking off, but soon remembered there was no one to share it with so I tried to wipe the goofy smile off of my face. I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!

The flight was uneventful and I practically ran to find Michelle at baggage claim. She was standing with all of the limo drivers holding signs!LOL! We hugged, grabbed my luggage and we were off to Beaches N Cream to meet up with Sara. Woo Hoo!!

Sara was waiting at an outdoor table near the pool wearing a sweater! Made us all giggle. Sara and Michelle were meeting for the first time so we all said our hellos, waited to be buzzed, then got our table. It's so cute in there, but super small! None of us had been there, and we had high hopes to get the Kitchen Sink. None of us had eaten so we started off with the yummiest burgers ever! We all loved it. Then, we were too full so we were wimps and split the brownie sundae instead! We had a great time chatting and couldn't believe we were finally together!!

I tried to get Sara to stand on the booth and pretend to be licking the icecream cone, but she wouldn't do it! What kind of people am I vacationing with anyway? I sure hope they losen up! Well, they do!:lmao:

Next up: Michelle takes a bite out of the chocolate carousel! Just kidding! Or am I?

Great start Monica! I agree that is was so nice finally all being together after planning the trip for so long! I had a few fears that maybe we wouldn't all get along but as soon as we all met I felt like I was with my dearest friends. :grouphug:

I'll add my little adventure from the morning. I rented a car for this trip (long story). I was getting ready to leave my house around 9:15 or so and I decided to leave my husband the garage door opener from my car since I wouldn't be needing it. I shut the garage door and ran out through the closing door to my car. As soon as I got in the car I thought to myself - I sure hope I didn't forget anything since I have no way back in the house. Well, you guessed it - I forgot my phone! :scared1: I ended up having to break one of the screens on the back porch, crawl in on the filthy porch floor and then break in one of the windows. I was covered in dirt but I got my phone! I cleaned up a bit and was finally on my way. I made great time to the airport and was sitting in the airport by noon!

I sure wish it was last week at this time right now! :goodvibes

Great start to the trip, we haven't ever been to Beaches & Cream we will have to do that next trip.

OMG Michelle you performed a breaking and entering on your own home :lmao:. I am sorry but I find that hilarious. This is going to be a great trip report!

Great start Monica! I can't wait to find out if Michelle took a bite out of the carousel! :lmao:

Well, my travel story began Wednesday around 1:30 when I left from Virginia to head to GA for the night and then on to FL Thursday morning! I also had a lot of weird feelings as I left that day to go visit Disney World with strangers! But I knew we weren't truly strangers (I mean, I did actually MEET Monica in June for like a whopping 2 hours! ) and I've chatted with Michelle to know that she is at least not a serial killer! I mean, seriously...when would she have the time? :rotfl:

I packed my ax just in case though!

My husband was also out of town on a business trip to Vegas, so I had to pack up the kids stuff just as if they were going on a trip too! They were headed to my Mom's and even though they knew I was going to FL - they seemed ok with it! :yay: Even said I should hop over to Disney while I was there! Um, ok kids...I will! :rotfl2:

I made a few stops along the way, but made it to the hotel around 8:30 that night. The hotel was fine, but I did notice that the lock on the door (not the deadbolt, but the "extra" lock - like the "chain" but not a chain, if you KWIM) was broken. I had already changed into my PJs so I didn't really feel like going to the lobby and getting a different room, so I just pushed a table up against the door (like that would keep me safe, LOL!). :sad2:

I left the next morning about 7:45 and got to the Orlando area around 12:00. I got a phone call from Michelle saying she was at the airport waiting for Monica and that she had made good time! We agreed to just call as we got closer to WDW! I arrived into the Disney area around 12:30. I had to stop and get a battery for my camera (even though I brought 3 with me - NONE of them were charged - and I knew I wouldn't have a chance to charge them before I met the girls for lunch - UGH) and then I cleaned out my car and found my way over to the Beach Club. I made one wrong turn going into the BC (service entrance - oops) and made myself laugh out loud for already getting lost! Then I called Jen to see if she wanted to meet us over at Beaches & Cream, but I just got her voice mail! :sad1:

I got our buzzer (20 minute wait she said) and sat and waited for the girls to arrive! The Beach Club is so beautiful, and I couldn't believe that I was sitting there in a sweater (and not hot in it) and people were walking past me in their bathing suits! :rotfl2: Too funny! The girls arrived and it was as if we had known eachother all our lives! :grouphug:

Continue on with the story Monica....

Sara

You just made me spew my coffee!

So in your head are we all dressed in black and doing this under cover of darkness?

:lmao: Michelle I'm betting you didn't take a bite out of the carousel. It's too early in the day yet. So sorry about having to break in your own house to get your phone :headache: . Tom always closes our garage like that too.

Sara, I would be nervous staying in a strange hotel and driving alone all the way to Disney too. At least you didn't have to hear kids bickering the whole ride there :rolleyes1 . I'm  about the serial killer comment. I'm sure you girls were like old friends right away.

Monica,
You are so flippin funny and the perfect one to write the trip report :thumbsup2 . Your mother is too funny, she thought you were being tricked :rolleyes1 . She sounds a little scared about your internet friends ( you met them last year, right?) My mom would be the same way, so I would just leave that part out  . I bet you bought 27 pounds of souvenirs ;) . Waiting for morepopcorn:: .

Thanks Nichole! What makes it even funnier is that my mom met Michelle last year when I did!!LOL! Good impression you made on my mom Michelle!:lmao:

Great start Monica! I so wish I could have gone. I am one of those people who lets guilt :guilty: ( real or imagined) rule my decision making process. I would not have been able to live with my self going to DW without my family....not to mention the fact that they would NEVER allow me!:lmao:

What was Hunter and Megan saying at the airport? I know Hunter wasn't thrilled that you were going without him but did he give you a hard time?

Maybe it's better I didn't go. You know I'm a germophobe right? I never could have shared one sundae with three spoons.:rotfl: I guess I could order my own right?

Can't wait for more.

Maybe if we tell her she'll be sharing a room with WOODY!! And Nicole, we'll take you to Woody's cowboy roundup, and we can ride Buzz Lightyear SRS as many times as you want! And you'll get to ride Toy Story Mania! How can you pass that up?

Awesome start girls! I wish my phone was working and I would have totally met you at Beaches and Cream. That dessert looked yummy!

When we left off we were all rolling out of Beaches N Cream with full tummies. We looked around the resort a little bit and all agreed we would love to stay there.

We walked to the lobby to check out the famous chocolate carosel. As Sara and I were taking pictures I look over and Michelle was climbing over the fence and took a bite out of one the horses tail! I couldn't believe my eyes!:rotfl: (jk)

This thing really is amazing with great detail. The lobby is beautiful too. Loved it there.

We got in our rented PT Cruiser which Michelle and I originally loathed and Sara got in her dirty Tahoe and we headed to our home for the next 4 days. First we stopped at Walgreens for milk. I felt like I was cheating on Disney for being outside the grounds. I quickly got over this when I saw our uncramped condo! It was 3:54 and we couldn't get in til 4:00 so we hung out in the driveway and watied. Michelle gave us each a gift with "Girl's Trip 2008" mugs, candy, ornament, and bell necklace to weat to the party. Oh, and some light up antlers. Boy, were we gonna be stylin!

4:00! Time to go inside!

Apparantly Sara thought we were moving in!

We pick our rooms, settle in and talk for a little bit. Then it was time to pick up Jen and get to that party! Wanna see what classy gals on a girl's trip wear to the Christmas party?

Oh, it's gonna be a fun night!

Next up: Excuse me ma'am. We're not part of the decorations.
