Please keep MinnieM3(Beth)in good wishes/prayers if you do*Beth on pg 7*

Continued best wishes for Beth.
Glad there was a bit of good news....hoping for lots more.

Well, now some not so good news from Beth.................

From earlier yesterday............

Waking up after almost 24 hours of straight sleep. And I'm still exhausted.

They did the biopsy of the nodule in my abdomen yesterday morning under heavy sedation (thank God!) It's sore today but nothing major. I came home and slept all day until a few hours ago. No results yet. Everything in full swing to get all my info, tests, labs, etc. up to Sloan Kettering. Never been to NYC and not thrilled that this is how my first trip will be. Jim and I can still hardly breathe. This has just taken the life out of us. I'm so scared. I don't want to die. I want this to be resolved and get back to important things like pool hopping and mug refilling.
Anyway, many thanks for passing this along. I read those responses every day over and over and they help me so much..........

And then later in the day..............

The biopsy came back positive late this afternoon...it's cancer, too. This was the nodule in my abdomen. It was biopsied yesterday. The thinking now it this is all mets from the original breast cancer. My original breast cancer is "gone" so to speak but seems to have metastised to my lung and abdomen. Still not sure about lymph nodes in my chest. I don't think I'll let them operate on that until after I see the guys at Sloan Kettering. Just shocked with all this.......

So, it seems like some news that Beth would rather not have had, not as favorable as earlier thought. Please do keep Beth in your good wishes and prayers.

Beth, you have lots of people here, in your corner, pulling for you.

:grouphug:
Thinking of Beth and her family.
What a grueling ordeal for them all.

Yes, Beth...Dan is right, you have lots of people here praying for you and sending thoughts your way. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Prayer is a powerful medicine. :grouphug: I will continue to add prayers and good thoughts to help defeat your disease.

Beth, I'm sorry you didn't receive better news. Hang in there, stay strong.

Beth, I am remembering you in my prayers. I know this must be such an emotional rollercoaster. May the Lord give you strength and comfort.

Please add my prayers to the list. I'm sorry to hear the latest biopsy news....
you're so right, refillable mugs and other silly Disney stuff is much more fun to think about isn't it?

Beth, I can't even imagine what you are going through. Stay brave, stay strong, and fight this with everything you got. We are all pulling for you! You have my prayers. :grouphug: :grouphug: Dan, thank you for the updates.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

It does me a WORLD of good to read all these positive messages of hope and faith and encouragement. Please keep them coming.

Maybe Dan will figure out how to update in the title again, but we have an appointment date with Sloan Kettering! April 5th. Not the way I envisioned my first trip to the Big Apple. Family here will be taking care of Rhett and Kevin and we should only be gone a few days.

Getting this nasty PICC line out on Tuesday and having day surgery to have my port put back in. A necessity with my lack of veins.

I'm feeling a tiny bit more positive after the week from he**! I'm glad it's the weekend.

I know nothing of NYC and I know we won't be doing any big sightseeing, but we're not giong to sit in the hotel room and stare at each other, either, so.... Would it possible to see Times Square? What would I do....take a cab and then just get out on the street, walk around, and take a cab back? I want to see that place where there's kind of a point/two sides of a triangle, with the big TV screen thing..... anyone know what I mean? I'd also love to go to the top of the Empire State Building. Is that a quick thing, too? My appt. is in the late afternoon, after 3, so we could, conceivably do *something*. I'd love to see Letterman, but that's probably out of the question. I'd settle for Hello Deli!

Please keep those good thoughts coming. I'll need them ALL! Rhett was so impressed that people all over the country were praying for me all from the DisBoards!

Love and thanks to you all
Beth
Ready to Fight Again!

Hugs to you and your family! Wow, at times like this I really realize how precious everything and everyone really is and I really hope for the best for you! :grouphug: I am so sorry that you are going through this.

As to NYC, make sure that you get some wonderful NYC pizza. It really is the best and it was my favorite thing about my first and only trip to NYC last spring. Famous Ray's (with several locations, including one near Time's Sq, I think) and John's Brick Oven (only a couple locations, I think) were our favorites, but I've heard that even bad NY pizza is better than good pizza anywhere else.

The big tv screen is sure something to see. The big Disney store is fun, too.

The Empire State Building had long lines when we were there, but it was Spring break. Not sure exactly when you'll be there or what the lines usually are like.

Take care and keep us all posted!
