Oh, it is so wonderful to read all of these responses. Thank you so very much!

Tomorrow I will go in to have my PICC line taken out and my port put in. It'll be day surgery and I should be home by early evening. I'll be very glad to get this annoying PICC line out!

We're working on airline tickets to NYC with a friend of Jim's who worked with USAir. Hoping to save a few bucks.

Thinking we will definitely tour Times Square. Probably Empire State Building....had no clue it was $16 just to go up in the elevator! I have always wanted to see the NY skyline at night, would the Staten Island Ferry be a good way to do that? Is that the Ferry you always see in the movies?

I'd like to go to FAOSchwarz and some big department stores we don't have here like Macy's and Bloomingdales.

Trying to do as many free things as we can think of!

I am so glad that you are going to SK! My friend's DD was there when she was 21 with a huge tumor in her bladder. The hospital in Boston, I can't remember which, would simply have removed her bladder, but the surgeons at SK rebuilt it for her. I have only heard amazing things. Try to enjoy NYC, Times Square is one of my favorite places to be! Prayers for you!
