Ive received 4 - 2 that have my name 2, 2 that have my name once.
When I add my friends name to the resort ressie can I then use those other luggage tags?
I called ME and they said as long as its okay with the airlines to fly items, ME is okay to bring them to resort.

Go ahead and use the tags. Just be sure to bring the yellow stub (to which the tags were originally attached) with you to the welcoming area so it can be scanned and the baggage matched up upon your arrival there. (Don't cross out the bar code).

We just returned from WDW and we used ME. My husband's and son's names were incorrect on our tags (I kept my maiden name and WDW can't ever seem to get that straight ;) ) We just corrected the names on the tags. I don't know if they even look at the names, though. Probably just scan the barcode.

seashore CM - what yellow stub?
its 1 long strip w/3 barcodes - 1 in middle and 2 on the ends
the barcodes glue together

Did I get the color wrong? (I haven't used ME so I don't know exactly what the package looks like but) don't you tear the yellow tags out of a booklet (do not tear the strip tags themselves in half or thirds) and bring something to the welcoming area to be scanned?

The last time I used DME, in Nov/Dec, there were no stubs to tear off. Just stick the yellow tags on your bags. Then when you get to the DME check-in area they will give you a voucher that the bus driver will scan. It's all tied into your reservation number. That's why the 'names' on the tags really don't matter much. As long as the barcode is on each luggage tag, it's fine.
I am assuming that you and your friends are staying in the same resort. Because if they use those tags, that's where their luggage is going..to your room at your resort.
