I am thinking about having breakfast here. What characters are here? Are there set characters or do they change all the time like GK? Also would I be able to get reservations for breakfast if I am going next week? Thanks for the help.

I am not exactly sure if they rotate. Last time we had breakfast there (September) we saw Minnie, Captain Hook, Rafiki, Eeyore, Daisy Duck, Geppetto, Rabbit, Fairy Godmother, Chip and Dale, and Max. I heard that Daisy Duck was actually kind of rare to see.

I am not sure if they still have reservations available, it will be very busy next week! Better call right now! Have fun. :goodvibes

We were there on November 20 and we saw: Minnie, Chip & Dale, Suzy, Fairy Godmother, Rafiki, Pooh, Tigger, Max, Captain Hook and Eeyore. The character visits were so frequent that we could hardly eat! It was great!

IMO, the character meals are worth every penny, especially Minnie & friends. We have so much fun there. There are plenty of characters around and they repeatedly came to our table (March visits). The character interaction is fantastic! We've seen them sit down at tables when people have left their food there and gone back for drinks (boy, were they surprised when they returned, lol). Chip & Dale took my daughter's Pluto toy off the table and ran off through the restaurant with it with her hot on their tails. I almost had a heart attack on that one because I am the person who is very into not letting children run wild through a restaurant. She just took off after them though and the CM just laughed and said it was fine & that Chip & Dale had started it, when I profusely apologized after chasing her down. We have great videos of Winnie the Pooh playing with our video camera. I returned to the table once to find Chip rifling through my tote bag and then taking my camera out and taking a picture of my surprised look. :rotfl2: The characters come around so often that my family barely gets any eating done but, to me anyways, it is so worth it to have those memories rather than just the typical "stand in line, sign the autograph book, smile for a picture and move on" experience. We only had one time (out of about 5x eating there) where I had to nicely mention to a CM that we we ready to leave but still hadn't had Tigger (my dd fav) stop by our table. She apologized and immediately ran over and got Tigger. He came over, took my dd's hand and led her around the dining room bouncing with her. She was so excited she cried. The CM came back over as soon as Tigger left, apologized again and gave my dd some stickers. You just can't ask for better service than that. :cheer2: Also, we have seen a lot of characters there that we're not able to hunt down in the park. We've seen Captain Hook, Rafiki, Fairy Godmother, Gepetto, and Max in addition to the ones who seem pretty standard there: Minnie, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Chip & Dale.

We just did Minnie and Friends last Monday. There were so many characters, I don't think I ate anything for the first half hour because I didn't want to miss any photo ops with the kids. Characters came around to our table more than once and were quite playful as others have mentioned. We had Minnie, Hook, Chip and Dale, Fairy Godmother, Gepetto, Rabbit, Eeyore, Tigger, Alice and the Mad Hatter and Max.

Oh also, the price was $27.99 for adults and 13.99 for kids as of Monday. For those who care, it was also the only place we found that did gluten free Mickey waffles, which was a big deal to my kids.

Last I checked it was $23.99.

My mistake. Still pricey...

I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to $28 during the holiday season. The way I see it, it is a bargain compared to running around the park and standing in line forever to see all those characters. During a busy time like the time you are going, you could burn hours seeing all of these characters. This lets you interact, eat, and be ready to ride attractions. Of course, this only works if seeing characters is important to you. If not, feel free to skip. If so, this can save you hours of time, which is money at DL! :thumbsup2

While I admittedly haven't been to any other character meals at Disneyland, I absolutely LOVE the Plaza Inn breakfast. We went twice last year and had a blast, and I'm going back with my best friend next month.
They're able to make gluten-free waffles for me, which is a HUGE treat when you haven't had waffles/bread for a long time. They were really good.

The character interaction is awesome, and we always leave there feeling that the price was worth it. One thing to note is that you should make reservations for BEFORE 10:30am, as the characters are done exactly at 11am, and they also start packing up the food. The last time that we went, we felt pretty rushed about the whole thing, and so we'll make sure that we're there by 10 or so next time.

We ended up doing Minnie's during our last trip and it was really fun. The food is alright, but the character interaction is great!!!!

We really enjoyed our first experience at Minnie's in December. Of course you're really paying for the character interaction but I thought the food was great also! The characters we saw in December were Minnie, Fairy Godmother, Rafiki, Chip, Dale, Eeyore, Pooh, and Captain Hook.

I wasn't really sold on paying so much for a Character Breakfast because I didn't think meeting the different characters would be a big deal for our family. I was SO WRONG! We had a great time at this breakfast and the picture of me with Captain Hook's hook at my throat was worth the money alone!

We saw Fairy Godmother, Rafiki, Pooh, Captain Hook, Tigger, Eeyore, Minnie, Chip and Dale......I think that's everyone.

The food was very good and it was just a really fun thing for everyone. Even our 8 and 10 y/o boys couldn't help but be delighted. :)

I was anti-character meals until WDW last year (I'm a true cheapskate). It was by FAR our favorite thing for entire group that we did. A chance to meet characters in a casual setting without waiting in line and a sit down meal is a nice break from the parks. Sure it isn't fine dining, but it is good enough.

We will be doing at least one character meal at DL in April we had that much fun.

I was there in early December and we had Minnie, Tigger, Pooh, Captain Hook, Max, Fairy Godmother, Chip, Dale, Rafiki, and Peppermint the Penguin (from Mary Poppins). We were a party of all adults and the character interaction was wonderful! They never brushed us aside or took less time with us because we weren't kids. In fact, Captain Hook came back multiple times after he saw it was my birthday and "flirted" with me, and the Fairy Godmother sat down at our table to discuss the princesses' fashion choices.

My family had a different experience than this... the two times we have eaten there we have always had a 10:40 a.m. reservation (I went and checked my old itinieraries) and we never had a problem.... the food was still replaced fresh, we did not feel rushed and the characters were out past 11 a.m. We really liked it because the restaurant was emptying out and the characters just kept coming back to us over and over again... to the point where we had to signal to a few of them to leave (Tigger, in particular.... he just kept pantomiming away and I was translating and finally I just started kind of ignoring him because we just wanted to eat, lol!). We saw all the characters at our table mulitple times and then, as they got ready to switch over for lunch they told everyone leftover from breakfast to come to the front and we got to take pictures with ALL the characters together - a way for the restaurant to get rid of us, but made for great pictures anyway!
