Planning Weddings for those Not-yet Engaged!

Thank you all SO much for the pixie dust and well wishes, you ladies are fantastic :goodvibes

ImMarcik - Maybe she is! Mandy, are you my soul sister? ;)

Ok, enough about me  How did you ladies meet your DBFs (or for any married ladies, your DH)? I met mine on myspace :rotfl:

LOL..I met mine thru myspace too... Turns out he was reading my blogs, finally emailed me one day cuz some were for friends only... then we talked for about a month...said we were just lookin for someone to hang out with....nothing relationship wise... So we hung out all of twice before we took it to the next level... but we knew from second 1 when we met in front of Spondivits Restaurant in Atlanta :)

Ok, I actually haven't met James yet. He's in Afghanistan. He works for a company that supports the army. But, he's coming home in December. We've been talking in numerous emails throughout the day for almost a month and then took it to the phone. Now we talk on the phone for at least a couple of hours a day. More on the weekends. I was a little tipsy last weekend and asked him if he was my boyfriend and he said he wanted to be. I said so ya are. :lmao: Now, that's what I call him. Sure hope we like each other in person. He signs his emails "your James" and calls me love, on top of a hundred other pet names he's come up with.

How I met BB aka brown bathroom aka DBF aka my love....

So that is how I met the infamous brownbathroom.......
Ok...I think we need the backstory here on how h e got the name Brownbathroom:rolleyes1 :lmao:
Aw, that was so sweet of him to help keep the jerk away and to make sure you got home ok :lovestruc

He was such a gentleman, which was so sweet. now that we have been married for 11+ years, I sometimes have to remind him that I'd still like to have that gentleman once in a while:rolleyes1

Thank you both! I just got off the phone with him, we talk everyday during my lunch and at night before I go to bed.

Just wanted to add...my pet name for today is chocolate chip. :lovestruc

I met DBF at school, lol. We were actually very good friends for years before we started going out, but suddenly when I was in Senior year (and he was a Sophmore) I realized, damn, he's really cute. And then I got a crush on him and we started going out on dates and then I fell in love, hehe. He asked me to be his DGF over MSN though, that was really cute. And now I love him to death. :goodvibes

Yea why DID he get the name Brown Bathroom?? :rolleyes1

Ok ok, I already know. :upsidedow

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

How did John get the brown bathroom nick name....:rolleyes1

Ok let me eat lunch and I will fill in the blanks for you.

Its quite an interesting story. popcorn::

So, should I wait to eat the bag of m&ms in front of me until after you tell us the story? :rotfl2:

Oh darn, now I want M&M's. BTW at my wedding (see I can stay on topic). I had Lavedar & dark purple M&M's instead of mints. They are my favorite candy.

So, I'm gonna elaborate on the story between me and DBF, because I think it is pretty humorous.

I had just gotten out of a pretty horrible relationship and I was cruising around myspace looking for new friends (preferably of the cute male kind) when I stumbled upon DBF's page. The song he had as his profile song was one of my favorites, by one of my favorite bands. I sent him a rather blunt message ("I like your profile song and you are really hot" or something to that effect) and we started talking a bit on and off. That was in January. We didn't arrange to meet until around the end of March.

Our first "date" was just us hanging out at his apartment watching classic romantic date movies such as Dead Alive, Bubba Ho-Tep, and Saw I & II. In retrospect, I probably should have had my guard up a bit more then I did because I very willingly went to an almost stranger's house, to watch slasher movies. Isn't that how most serial killers and axe murderers get their victims? Mind you he was attractive, but didn't they say that about Ted Bundy? :lmao:

Anyways...a few dates and two weeks later we went to a concert with one of my close friends. We pre-gamed a bit at my friend's apartment beforehand :drinking1 so we (and by we, I mean I mostly) weren't in the best shape. My friend was actually on the floor of his apt during the whole concert...needless to say he was in the worst shape out of all of us.

After the concert DBF drove me home and we just hung out until I felt better (aka sobered up). He asked me to be his girlfriend and I knew he must really like me after having to put up with my lightweight self. Plus, he even stuck around after I got sick at the concert venue, so I knew I must have been doing something right. We celebrated with classic 4am drunk food...Denny's! 2 1/2 years later we're as in love as we possibly can be  and I haven't dared to pre-gamed since!

So there it is. My wonderfully romantic tale of love. Definitely something we can stick in our future wedding programs and we can tell our children and great-grandchildren about :rotfl:

That's awesome! Were they customized? I love m&ms, much to my stomach, thighs and butt's dismay :sad2:

:lmao: I would eat them while reading the story...
its quite funny.

Let's pretend that's m&ms he's got there.

***DON'T JUDGE...SOMETIMES BAD CHOICES HAPPEN BUT IT TURNED OUT PERFECT!!***

In a land far, far away from WDW, its a place that I like to call home...
Washington. There was this girl, Deb we shall call her. She was going through a very awkward time in her life.
It was memorial wknd 2008. It brings out the best of the beautiful people from Western Washington and they invade the beauty of Eastern Washington and we all gather in this place called Cresent Bar.
KKTMB (KT KT master...get my drift?) we were the choosen ones to ride with the DJ and get a table big enough for all of us and be on the look out for BB and his friends. BFF needed to stay in town for the parade as her dd was in it. So we get there and get the table have a few drinks and see the magical way that the outside bar gets set up. **SECURITY AT THE BAR IS SO FREAKING HOT!! ONE GUY LOOKS LIKE VIN DIESEL!!!!!!***
We are sitting there calmy awaiting our friends. We decide to go and get a drink, as we walk to the bar, I see BB and his 2 friends. We say hi. thats it.
Well finally everyone else slowly start arriving. KT, BFF, baby D (that would be BFFS lil sis, bbs older sis), and I head off for a shot or two :rolleyes1
We drenched. It is pouring outside. We go inside and at this point BB and I start talking and blah blah blah...we dance, and just hang out most of the night. Well its closing time. I leave with Baby D.
***DISCLAIMER*** I TAKE ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS ONCE THE ALCOHOL HAS TAKEN AFFECT**** :lmao: :rotfl:

Well on the way home apparently I may have called BFF, for BBs digits on the way home :confused3 (Why didn't I just ask his other sister may you ask? I have no clue  )
Anyhowser....I guess I may have blown up his phone or something.
So it came to be that when he got to ML he would come over and we would go back to his place 20 min away.
In the time that we...er..I was waiting for him, Baby D and I were starving, we wanted taco bell. So we called the older sister, ok mistake, umm..our friend in Denver has the name, so we may have called our dear Denver girl to please stop at TB on their way into town and get us some food?? :rotfl2:
Ok so finally someone knocks on the door, and it was him. We leave.
I think I slept most of the way.
We drop his friends off. Go to his house.
End up watching the Deadliest Catch in his room.
I am so sick
probably one too many bullblasters? Spiderbites? something.
Ok so the next morning I wake up around 8 AM a little bit confused...
I look up and I look straight into the bathroom and the color is chocolate brown. I am like WTH?? I am like we are not in Kansas any more toto!!!!!!:scared1:
I look over to see who is next to me...
:scared1:  :sad2:
In my head I am like OH. MY. GOD. THAT. IS. AMS. LITTLE. BROTHER.
WHAT. DID. I . DO.???????????
I turn around and lay as still as I can be!! I did not want to wake him up.
I was a little freaked out, this was so not me!! SO NOT ME!!!
My BFF was even like, WTH??
So like 20 min later he wakes up. Jumps out of bed and is like what?
I start laughing, not loud, BECAUSE REALLY THAT IS SO WHAT I WANTED TO DO!!!!!!!!!!
So he hops in the shower, I go and sit outside and call my other BFF Rae and tell her the happenings of the night (it wasn't for a about a wk later that his sister filled me in with the details, I was a little drunk that night).
He gives me a ride to my car that is at his sisters.
He tries talking but I have the worst hangover of my life!!
It seemed to be a very bright, bright morning.
It was the most awkward ride I have ever had.
So that is how the infamous BB came to be.

Funny thing is later that day, baby D is like hey, John, are you going to make Deb our sister in law? We love her!!
He is like I am not even divorced yet (2 wks later he was).
Needless to say, thanks to baby D, daddy-o found out.
I really love this family, but really can't there be any secrets???
NOPE NOT IN THIS FAMILY.
So we lovingly call the night our crazy life started as the BB night. And our friends refrence to him somedays is BB.

So basically we met through his sister. But CB is always a special place.
We have been together for around 5 months now.

His mom is asking for babies..she is nuts!!

Pre-game, we do that, but we call it pre-shots. Yea, we are usually feeling pretty good when we get out. :lmao: Sweet story. Glad I'm not the only crazy one.

OMG Deb it's been a while since I heard that story. I'm :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
