Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

I feel very luck to be within a (reasonable) driving distance to Disney. It would be great if it was only a few hours, though! We would be taking alot of weekend trips, then!

FIRST DISNEYMOON PURCHASE!

Now that I can finally say that the wedding and disneymoon are this year, they have both been on my mind a lot more! I've been browsing the wedding board here, and have gotten some great ideas from all of the Disney brides, one of which was a cute set of shirts for the bride and groom from the Disney store! I thought these would be perfect for Miguel and I to wear on the drive down to Disney for the honeymoon.

I love them! I ordered them earlier this week, so they should be arriving soon. The only bad thing is I've read they run very small. I ordered up, so I really hope they fit! I also love how they sort of match the Mrs. and Mrs. mugs that we got as souvies on our January trip. I'm planning on taking these with us to have coffee in at the Poly each morning.

Another item (although not Disney related) that I keep seeing alot of on the wedding board is personalized hangers to photograph your wedding dress on. They're handmade by an Etsy seller (Lila Frances) to spell out your new last name on the hanger. I was shocked when I found out they are only $25! I had to order one! This is only the stock photo, but you get the idea...

I've also been browsing the Creative DISigns board for cute wedding related Disney designs and I found some really cute bride and groom Mickey heads that I've started a little disneymoon DIY project with. I can't wait to share it when I get finished!

And in even more wedding-related news, today I went with my grandmother and my two bridesmaids to get their dresses ordered. The dress looked great on both of them and ended up being about $40 less than we anticipated, and we got %15 off on top of that! Tomorrow Miguel and I are going to have lunch at the restaurant where we're hoping to have our rehearsal dinner. Provided it meets our expectations, we want to get that booked next week.

I hope you all don't mind more frequent wedding updates! Now that we've booked all of the big vendors I can really focus on those fun little details.

I love that I'm getting to focus on these little details now - I'm finding they are much more fun than the larger one's!

I love those shirts!! I wish they had those when I went on my Disneymoon in May! I do have the mugs, but my DH won't let me use them! I don't understand what I bought them for if we can't use them...I might just bust them out on our 1st anniversary, there's no reason for them to sit in a box!

Being fairly close to Disney is so nice! Although the day trips are all thanks to my dad! If he didn't live so close to wdw, we wouldn't have that opportunity.

Yes, I found the shirts on the disneystore.com! I had been searching for some for a while and could never find any until these popped up. I believe they had bridesmaid and maid of honor shirts too. I can't believe it costs $50 to ship to you! In fact, I think all on-line shipping is a little out of hand. I don't do much on-line shopping for that reason.

You should definitely break them out for the anniversary! We haven't used ours yet, mostly because I want to save them until we are officially Mr. and Mrs., but also because we don't drink too much coffee here at home. Still though, I couldn't pass them up when I saw them.

I LOVE that hanger! My Friend is getting married a week after you and she would LOVE the hanger. That would be such a cute bridal shower gift. I have never been on Etsy before is it like ebay?

I've never bought anything off of Ebay, but I think they're pretty much the same, minus the bidding. On Etsy you just buy, but from what I can tell it's a similar structure. There are so many neat things on there, especially for weddings. I think the hanger would be the perfect gift for your friend.

I've just been looking on Disney Store website now! .. had a brainwave my parents are at their house in Bradenton FL at the moment... I might get the Bride Tshirt and have it shipped to them! .. the website also has the Bride & Groom pens, I was looking for these in WDW last month but couldn't see them anywhere... I was thinking of getting them for our guests to use when writing on the picture frames (like a guestbook)

I know I definitely want a pair of bride ears. I think the jury's still out on the groom one's. I'd like to get a pair at least for a couple of pictures, but I could understand if Miguel didn't want to wear them for long - they're pretty big!

You should definitely order one of the hangers! I have been spending a lot of time on the wedding board - so many of those girls are so creative. It's prompted me to give Etsy a closer look as well. I've found so many cute things there I want to buy.

I wanted to order one of those hangars for my wedding dress but the woman had temporarily closed her Etsy store. I can't wait to see it!
