We will be traveling to Orlando in 10 weeks, we plan to take the kids to the pirates dinner theatre. If you've been, can you tell me if it was worth the price.
Thanks in advance

We went to this last time were were there. DD(9) thought it was a blast, I thought it was fine, I might do it again. DH thought it was a waste, but he wasn't feeling well. HOWEVER, I had bid on ebay or somehwere and gotten a coupon that got us 50% off. We paid for the "upgraded"seats and overall spent I think just under $100 for the 3 of us. In my opinion the food is worth, at best about $10/pp so you're paying for the entertainment. Don't go there hungry, or you might go away hungry. The Free beverages are only in included while you're having dinner, not with the munchies and appetizers ahead of time. They try to get you to buy a photograph and have other souvenirs for sale, too. I think they recommend a tip of $5-6 per person. Personally, I think Chef Mickey's is a better deal and more fun. Hoping to try one of the other shows next time.

we will be doing the sleuths murder mystery, boston lobster feast and the pirates show- thought the kids would enjoy the pirates show. food at those types of shows really don't impress me either. what kind of munchies-appetizers do they serve? I am glad the show is at least good though. Thanks for your response.

We went last year and thought is was fun. We did it on our last night and thought the show was good. Each area gets a Pirate to route for and the kids got a big kick out of that. The food was pretty good.

I would love to hear more details about the show and dinner. I assume it's the same kind of food served at other dinner shows. We have been to a few in other towns where you get no utensils and are served chicken or ribs, some kind of potato and vegetable, soup you drink out of a bowl, a roll, and a dessert. Is the Pirates show meal the same?

When do they serve appetizers? Is that before the show? Do they have a pre-show?
