Pirate & Princess Party Review - Don't Come Hungry!

We are going to WDW on monday - can I call today (friday) and get the preorder pricing?
how about on monday itself?

THanks
Allen

Went I got tickets for the MNSSHP I got them a day before at the building right in MK on the left. I think you just don't get the discount on the day of the event. If you are going Mon and going to the party on 2//1 you could get them when you get down there.:goodvibes

just called disney -
as long as not sold out (which she says will not happen) you can order tickets for the "pre-order price" up till 2 hours before the event - and get them at will call

Can anyone tell me how long the littlest kids manage to stay up? I know this sounds strange but I am worried I will pay all this money to go to the P&P Party and my 4 year old will poop out at 9pm. Can anyone tell me from experience how their little ones handled the late hour - maybe from MNSSHP or MVMCP experiences?

You know your child better than anyone else. My kids always managed to stay up and stay plesant the whole time, but then they would sleep in the next morning, so I didn't have any problem.

Does anyone know if the chocolate is safe for people with peanut/tree nut allergies??
I guess I haven't thought about this ahead of time, but if it is not, I will have to prepare my DD ahead of time...raisins will not be a :thumbsup2 alternative!

I dont know the specifics, there are some chocolates with nuts in them, but ALL of the chocolates are HERSHEY - if that helps.

What happens if you are in the park but you don't have P&P tickets? Will we feel like we're missing out? We'll be there with my 2 girls (ages 5 and 2 1/2 - big princess fans) but we didn't buy tickets for the party. We are going to alot of character dinners and felt like enough was enough. We will leave the park by 8pm. For us, we just didn't see the need. Your thoughts?

Thanks
Jen

They were quite efficient at clearing the park at 7pm. At 7pm you can not enter the shops on main street, and they clear the park from the back up toward the entrance, so you may be asked to leave before 8pm, just so you know. Is the party worth it - oh, yeah! The parade showcases Princesses like you have never seen them, like Snow White and her Prince riding in a carriage adorned with sparkling jewels from the Dwarf's Mine, and Jasmine and Aladdin riding on the BIG horses, and preceeded by Jasmine's guards with their swords. AND last but not least - TINKERBELL riding on a treasure chest!

I would really have a problem with them not letting me in at 3:40 with an annual pass. If the park is open we are allowed in. I am glad you got in at another gate. Then how did you get your wristband?

More than likely that was one of the new College Program kids who have just begun working and just did not understand that they also had annual passes to enter the park. We had no problem.

A couple of questions:

- Does anyone know on average how many tickets they are selling for this event? From what everyone is saying, it sounds like it is around half of the tickets they sell for MNSSHP.

- I don't think my three year old would make it to the 10:30 parade, so we will be definitely hitting the 8:30 one. How much time in advance to we need to stake out a spot? Can we just find a spot after the 8pm stage show?

Thanks in advance.

Where can I find the schedule of party events, locations of characters, open ride listing etc.?
We'r going on the feb 12th and I'd like to plan it out so we can do what we need to and be out as early as possible. I have two boys so we will skip the princesses...princess:

We're going to P&P on 2/1 before our cruise on 2/3. We've never done one of these special events before so excuse my ignorance, but...

Can kids get autographs at the meet and greets or is it pictures w/ the characters or what? My DD was an autograph hound during our last trip so I'm just trying to plan a bit!

Thanks!

Thanks for your review!

DH and I are debating on heading to the party on March 5th. Would you recommend this event for an adult only party? We have never been to any of the special parties before so have no idea what to expect.

Yes, they should be able to get autographs - that's been the case at all the other special parties.

Just want to answer a couple of questions. We are two senior citizens who had a ball at the first P&P party even if we were slighty damp. With all the rides walk on and very few people whats not to like. As for food, Pecos Bills and Crystal Palace didn't close until just before 7pm. So you could still eat before the party started. As for preplanning just go to town hall in Magic Kingdom and ask for a program. We got ours on Sat. before the Mon.party.Have fun we did.pirate: :rotfl: princess:

Same Day Tickets are more expensive than the Advance Price. You can order Same Day Tickets up to two hours prior to the event but they won't be at the Advance Price- the computer system won't do it.
The cast member you talked must have misunderstood.

You can't use your annual pass at the entrance for the DPPP- once the turnstyle is set up for party tickets, nothing else will work on that side.
They couldn't let you in at that specific side.

We haven't gone to the P&P party, but we have gone to MNSSHP twice with two small kids. Both times we didn't stay very late - we left when we could tell the kids had had enough. It was still worth the money, even if we didn't see the fireworks. We will likely go to P&P on 2/26, and I won't be disappointed if the kids can't make it until the fireworks - if they have fun, get dressed up and see some characters, and we get to ride the rides without long lines, it will be worth it for us.
