Pin received - Deal okay

Got a snail mail pin today. 5 nights/6 days at a value resort standard room including myw tickets for 6 days, no hopping. $362/adult. Valid 9/30-11/19, 11/24-28 & 12/8-12/23/07. Also mentioned that room only are available and other resort offerings.

I priced out for 2 adults at the pop in Mid dec for 5 nights and got a rate of $908.

Too bad, we had not planned on going and now DH is tempted.

Although Disney is sending out PIN code mailings, this offer is available to the general public. I'm holding a generic (non-PIN) self-mailer right now that has the exact same prices listed.

But as far as I know there isn't a comparable room only version of that offer on the disney site.

I just got a PIN offer by e-mail, value resorts for $82. Unfortunately it does not include the first week in February, which is when I want to go. Guess I'll trundle on down to AAA to see what they have.

How do you get pin offers? As many times as I've been to Disney, I've never gotten pin offers. What am I not doing right? We are going in June and would like a better discount if possible. We have the AAA discount, but would like just a little more!

I'm new to the Disney system, at least the vacation area, so they may have wanted to give me little more inducement. The PIN offer came with the confirmation of my request for the Disney World DVD.

However I just also applied for a Disney VISA card, so maybe they'll send another PIN offer.

I just got a pin for $64 per night for a value resort for 10/21-11/20, 11/24-11/29 and 12/8-12/23, with "other resorts and room types available at varying rates- just ask about 'em when you call". My pin offer was by snail-mail, so keep checking your boxes.

Of course, they know I am planning a vacation for the first week of Feb too, as my account of the disney site states, so they are probably just trying to get my money faster I just hope they remember to keep sending me pins until I book I wonder if I changed my info to say that I am planning for June if they will send me one for Feb.

My snail mail offer was for for SSR or OKW studio - "other resorts and room types available at varying rates" - wish I could use it! dates are 10/21 - 11/20 and 11/24 - 12/23. I don't think it's public as it has a long pin code at the bottom.

The "code" in this case is for you to use to help them with marketting and demographics but the offer itself is open to the general public. You can check pricing and availability yourself on the WDW website for this offer by choosing "special offers", reading about the offer and clicking the "book now" link from there. To compare the rack rate pricing, go back and price the same thing under "tickets and reservations". This way you can see the actual $$ savings. I think it's a good deal and a great time to visit the parks. ---Kathy
