I was thinking of bringing a pillow case to get signed and was wondering if anyone knows if you can get a cruise line one ahead of time? Do the stateroom gifts offer these? Also, the photo box/albums should I get those ahead of time or will they have them on board? To many ??????
Thanks, Joni:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

They used to offer these but discontinued when they changed suppliers. You can supply your own but either a plain or Disney. Place it in a Ziploc Baggie with your Cabin #. Take it to Guest Services and they will have the characters sign it!

Regarding the box can't remember.

Maybe someone else can advise.

Happy Cruising!

We did this back in March and it was great! I did two - one for my 6 year old who was cruising with me and one for the not quite 3 year old who was home with Daddy (we were cruising with Auntie). This is the one I got - of course it wouldn't work for boys LOL but ours turned out very cute - I can post a picture of our actual pillowcase with signatures if anyone wants (I don't think I've seen anyone do this yet!)
- but this is a link to an ebay auction with the type of pillowcase.

By the way -I think I bought ours at Target (or Walmart) for cheaper than this, so I'm not suggesting you purchase this one - just wanted to give a visual!

Ours was signed in different color Sharpies - the signatures still look nice and it's been washed a ton! A Mickey one would be great for boys and those not into the princesses.

Great inexpensive gift to bring back to little friends!

Here's my thought - has anyone tried this?

I was going to bring a plain white pillowcase for the characters to sign, then when we return home, I can print clip art onto iron-on transfer paper with my home printer, then iron the characters on next to their names.

I'm not the cafty-est person in the world, but I think it will work!
Any thoughts?

At one time....this may have changed since....but they only accepted items that had Disney on it somewhere. We were told they would not accept plain t-shirts or pillowcases.

Like I said, this may have changed.

Thanks everyone for you thoughts and suggestions. After I posted this I was on the State Room Gifts site (Magical Treasures) and they have a package called Magic Dreams that has 2 cookies, a Disney story book and a Cruise Line pillow case for $27.00. I think I might get that so I don't forget to bring one and it will have Disney on just in case.

I was so excited when I saw your post I phoned but unfortunately was told it is not available.

If you get one please let me know 'cause would love to get for DD's Birthday!

TIA

Scratch, Unfortunatly I was told the same thing.:( I even talked to a supervisor and she said the site was out dated. Sorry!! I will have to get a plain one at target. She did say that might have them on the cruise but didn't know for sure. Does anyone know if they do?
Thanks, Joni:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Scratch,

Here me meet on another thread. I am going to go to Things Remembered at the mall and see what they can embroider for me to use for this. I will let you know if it is cute.

We only have a few more weeks!!!

And the funny thing is I walked right by one at the mall yesterday!

Let me know how it turns out!

See you real soon!

I was just on the Christmas 2003 Magic cruise and I had 4 pillowcases signed. We took our own new, plain ones, 2 blue and 2 pink, that I got for a very reasonable price at either Taget or Kohls. I put them in a gallon zip lock bag along with a pckage of colored Sharpies. We put our family name and stateroom number on the bag and took it to Guest Services. On the last night of the cruise, we picked them up, all 4 signed, at Guest Services (don't forget them!).

I will say that the person at Gueast Services tried to get us to get our own signatures of the characters around the ship. Since my DDs are teens and a little past getting character signitures we really didn't want to have to do that (but who knew how excited they'd be when they got invited to a character breakfast!) I explained that we were in no hurry and that I didn't need them for Chirstmas Day or anything, that the end of the cruise was fine, and then he said OK. I think many parents want them back real quickly, so if you can be patient it's easier for them. My only disappointment is that the cases were all signed in one color, not multicolors, even though the milti-colored Sharpie package was in the bag. (The light blue cases were signed in navy and the light pick cases in red--so it's still very cute.)

They look great and it was all worth it when we got off the ship and gave one each to my neice and nephew in FL, where we stayed for a few days after the cruise. The other two were for my girls--even as teens--they'll never grow up when it comes to Disney! We all love it!

I have basically the same idea...I bought a Cinderella pillow case in WalMart..for $5. And took it to a lady here in town to embroider my daughters name on it... I plan on leaving it as well at a guest services desk for signatures....and getting it before we leave the boat too... I didnt think they would mind...:)
