I want to say UP FRONT that this is the BEST of all the character meals/buffets that we have done, and we've done a lot of them! We ate here on Monday night, the 24th of September. These photos are not all-inclusive of everything on the buffet, but probably 75% of it at least.

Pasta station is first, the dish on the left doesn't look like much in the photo except a big glob of white, but it was one of my two favorite things at the buffet - Baby shrimp and asparagus tips in alfredo sauce. OMG. SOooooo good. I didn't even try the one on the right, and don't even know what it is except obviously a red sauce with meat of some kind. I believe the two skillets in the rear of the photo are just more of the same dishes, being prepared.

Salad station: black bean salad, some kind of vegetable salad, broccoli salad (really good!) cherry tomatoes with some kind of white cheesy-looking balls (didn't try that, I'm weird about cheese) - oh, just found out this is tomato-mozzarella salad so it WAS cheese, glad I didn't eat it LOL, pasta salad There were also peel and eat shrimp which looked good and large-sized but I don't like to have to peel my own shrimp LOL.

Strawberry Soup - YOU MUST TRY THIS! It might sound weird, but it's VERY YUMMY. Tastes like strawberries with melted vanilla ice cream all stirred up together.

Main entree station: from the front center dish going back and left....I think that was curry chicken with couscous, next one left is baked salmon with dill cream sauce - YUM, can you tell I love seafood?, portabello raviolis with a pesto cream - THIS was my other favorite dish, separate photo of it below, mussels in the top middle row, and I don't know about the others, didn't eat them.

Here's another one of the portabello raviolis with a pesto cream - SO GOOD.

The carved meat station, prime rib and turkey breast:

The kids' buffet: chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, corn, french fries, cheese pizza, mini corn dog nuggets

Uncrustables for the kids

Dessert station: this is where my group really felt the offerings were "lacking" as compared to the rest of the buffet. I didn't even have anything from the desserts, and I am a big dessert fan. Wait, oh yes I did, I had the apple cobbler, and after having it at LeCellier a couple of nights prior, it just didn't compare.

Here I am with the "other" Prince Charming, as I have to call him that in front of my DH. ;)

Nice pics!

We ate there last week and also agree that the strawberry soup is awesome!! I had the asparagus/shrimp alfredo as well and loved it!

Yes, I think that's probably a good idea to order a birthday cake special for them. I looked up the menu online, and this is what it says is offered on the buffet:

Desserts - apple cobbler, bread pudding, brownies, key lime tarts, linzer torte, rice krispie treats, chocolate chip cookies, lemon cheesecake tart, Edy's Soft Serve Ice Cream

Meh. :confused3 just not really up to par with the rest of the buffet, IMO.

Hey Blu--so glad to see your pictures and reviews.
We loved the 1900 Park Faire Buffet also. We were there on Sep 21, just 2 nites before you. We are so not buffet people but this one was really good. I loved the Prime Rib. I agree on the desserts. The rice krispies were so stale and we had the cobbler at Le Cellier and it was the best I have ever had in my life. Yumm.

thought i'd bump this in case anyone's interested in the pics even tho it was from last year.

Thanks for the review and pictures! I didn't see your review from last year and I'm so glad you bumped it up. :) It looks like there's a lot of great vegetarian options for me and the desserts look really yummy. I'm definitely thinking about making an ADR now. :)

That buffet looked really delicious. Were there foods to go withthe carved turkey (like dressing) or potatoes?

Hi
Thanks for posting the pics. We were there for dinner also, in August and it was really good. I'm also veg and there were plenty of choices for me. The ravioli were delicious. My DGD 3 1/2 had a great time with all the characters. She was dressed up as Cinderella and they gave her a lot of attention. Can't wait to go back next August and hopefully they'll offer free dining again!!

It's at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian.

I'm a huge fan on the chicken marsala they normally have.

The desserts are so-so. The key lime tart they make is good, but I normally stick with bread pudding and banana fosters sauce (tho it's not as good as the one at Ohana).
