MrsScooby I would love to see the pictures of your hair!! I'm trying to figure out good time to book the salon for, I'm planning on getting to the port early the dy of our cruise since I live about an 1 1/2 away from the Port so hoping to get a wide time window to choose from. Would you say an two hours is enough time to get hair done then go back and get ready? To have enough time to get to dinner on dress up night (late seating). We will not be watching the show that night since we have seen them all and dont care for toy story too much anyway. We will be watching Dreams and Golden Mickey show only this time around. And so more of the game shows and activites on the ship. THANKS!!
I haven't posted a photo to the DIS in a long time so I'll have to upload it to photobucket tonight. The salon does a nice job IMHO.
As for how much time to leave, that is not an easy answer. The first time I had my hair done is was for pirate night and all I wanted was for them to put my hair in curlers and I pulled it back with a fancy clip. That took way longer than I thought it would

I had left 2 hours and I barely made it back in time to throw on my pirate costume and some make-up.
Now for formal night in August 2008 cruise, I made our appointments for around 3:00 pm just make sure we would have time (we had early dining). She did both mine and my dd's hair into an updo in less than an hour. She was very flustered that my dd's appointment had been canceled and was rushing to fit us both into a 1 hour appointment.
We had plenty of time to get into our gowns and line up for formal pics before dinner.
Lisa is probably right in that they will allow younger girls into the salon if they have the time, but will bump them if needed

I just wish I had been told this when I made her appointment at the beginning of our 2 week cruise

Luckily it worked out for us though

My dd11 was thrilled with her hair and I was pretty happy with how mine came out too.
I'll try to post a pic tonight
