Thank you! Here is the background that I used with and without the words on top. Then I just "cut out" my daughters in photoshop and put them on. :thumbsup2 If you wanted a similar sign but are unsure how to "cut out" a picture just PM me and I would be happy to help!

Ok, took a while to figure it out again. Plus my pic is kinda blurry too...but I think you can get an idea of what they can do:confused3

Now I have to find the woman's name who did our hair. She was very nice and considering she squeezed us both in an hour I think she did great:goodvibes

We were on the Eastbound PC Repo August 2008. Hair appointments need to be made the day you board and formal night appointments go fast. Our hair was done for the 2nd formal night which was toward the end of our cruise.

Thanks for the great picture I'm hoping to get my hair in curls also. How long did it take for the to do your hair? Wondering what time I should book

They actually got it done very quickly. I was surprised that she was able to curl my hair, even though I had just had it checmically straightened.

I can't remember exactly, but I think it took about 40 minutes or so for the whole process. My appointment was around 4:30, and that gave me enough time to go back to the room, get dressed, and get to the 6:30pm show.

The salons on other ships welcome children for hair appts and I find that a nice touch. I'm surprised Disney doesn't allow it, as I'm sure there are many cruisers who would enjoy that experience. Maybe one day they will add something like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the ships so the kids can have a kid only area to receive salon services!:thumbsup2

Great Wolf Lodge has something like that. It’s called Scoops and is a full service spa for kids with an ice cream parlor theme. I think DCL should offer something like that.

I have my hair done by Alex every time I'm on the Magic. Alex has even colored it. It's wonderful:) The hair cut was $55 and the color about $100 - just what I paid at home. Make your appointment right away - they do get booked.

Is Alex the dark haired guy? I can't remember his name, but he cut my hair on the Magic in September and did a great job. If I can find out his name, and if he's still there, I want him to cut it again in May.

Yes, very nice person. I'm on the May 2nd cruise on the Magic - I hope he's still on board.

Is there ANY possible way that you could let me know if he's still there, and will be there for the May 23rd cruise?? After you get back, I mean??
Maybe send me a PM or something? I'd be so mad at myself if I get my hair cut here, and then find out he's onboard. If it's too much trouble, then no worries!

Alex cut my (long) hair last September and it still looks great, although longer. I'm hoping he'll be there in November to do it again - whatever it cost, it was SO worth it.

Count me among those who would rather keep the salon (in the adult area) for the adults and let the kids go to the braiders in the kids area.

The Backwards Mickey-Doo
(you must ask for this by name on the ship)

Anyone have any recent pictures? I'm wanting to do this for my cruise and need to get an idea. I'm bumping this up for newer pics please!

Both myself, and my DD (who was 10 at the time) had our hair done at the Salon on the wonder. It was for my DCL wedding, so I don't know if they made an exception. I paid $80 and DD's was $55 if I remember correctly.

Too bad they didn't offer a "Princess" spa for the little ones, like they do in the parks... Soooo cute princess: ... And how far ahead should you book for a formal up-do appt.?

This is such a good idea- cant believe they havent done it. You know they would make a fortune- in fact that would probably be a more difficult appt to book than a palo brunch on a 4 day!

I agree! It's a fantastic idea and I do think it would be very popular!!

Why don't you just take a picture of what you'd like to have them do? :confused3 That's what I would do at home if I were going in for a special 'do.
