I have similar shots of the bridge. It is cool to see for the first time.

These are from the English Garden and Sculpture Garden of our main city park in Winnipeg. For those who are interested, all pictures were taken with a Rebel XTI in either Av or Tv modes using the kit lens (18-55 mm) on an overcast day just as the plants are starting to come up (May 11!). All shot RAW and used Digital Photo Professional (came with the camera) for post-processing.

Sorsha - I have been on this road! We stopped and ate lunch in Kalispell. And we drove past Flathead Lake which is very beautiful! You live in a gorgeous part of the country. I was on my way to Glacier Natl. Park in August 2005 with a group of older Boy Scouts after rafting on the Snake and Salmon Rivers for 5 days.

Here's our part of our group Glacier NP pic:

Hi Kathy!
Nice to hear from someone who has been to my little corner of the world... most people haven't ever even *heard* of Kalispell! Hope you enjoyed Glacier!

My olympus point and shoot was to slow to get the great blue heron that flew by. I still like the intense color of the sky.

My niece left some sort of "rubber tufted chia clock" in my car. I was surprised at the detail and accurate color.

Ok, I almost fell off my chair when I saw your pictures...don't see too many from Winnipeg on the DIS!

here are some I took in the park last Sunday (when it felt like winter!). By the way, mine was with the XTi 18-55 mm also!!! What a small world!

Small indeed! I like that shot of the Tavern at the Park. My sister was married there last year in August and it made a great setting (and I got some great pics too!)

I'll be heading back to the English Garden in June to take some more pictures once more of the flowers are out. I want to prove Winnipeg does have seasons!

My part of the world is here! I need to go out in my neighborhood though and take pics of the Sandhills. :)
