I will begin posting some of the pictures I took from the Disneyana Convention.
As most of you know, I am not very active on this particular board as I collect Lion King articles and I am in a minority. So I may need some help identifying people in the pictures. I know their real names better than their DIS names.
This is SgtSLovak and his wife. We got into Club 33 for one of the Disneyana Convention Discovery tours. Our gift was a Club 33 pin, which they will mail to us. You could purchase other Club 33 merchandise, except the pins. I found that to be a bit peculiar.
For the park party, it was held at New Orleans Square. The Haunted Mansion, Pirates and Indian Jones were open to ride. The CMs put little Mickey Mouse beanies throughtout the Haunted Mansion and it made it a lot of fun looking for them. This wa a ghoulish band that played outside the Mansion and then they had ghouls to scare you as you got off the ride.
For one of the dinners we met at Goofy's Kitchen and it was MaryJo's birthday so we celebrated it. Here is an MPEG of MAryJo doing the Macarena with Goofy.
Warning this is a 1.3 MB file to download and you need some kind of media player to view.

The highlight of the Convention was the finale show and dinner. The show was held at the Hyperion Theater in California Adventure. The stars included Lesley Ann Warren, Page O'Hara and Robby Benson did a duet from Beauty and the Beast, Jodi Benson sang "Part of Your World" from the Little Mermaid. They had dancers do the Step in Time number form Mary Poppins. They had a full orchestra on stage playing the music. It was certainly magical.....
These next are pictures from the Banquet. I have more but will take me some time to post them. I have a lot of work to catch up on.....
Here is Beth and her DH Tim, MaryJo and her DH looking elegant at the banquet.
Here was the toast at the table.
The people who really helped and got us great seats at the banquet are Mike and Judy. I just wanted to thank them again. It really made the convention for me.
Judy's birthday was the next day so Beth had a big birthday card made for them. They are HUGE Figment fans and you can see Figment was incorporated into the card.
Here is a picture of the "4 Divas" and Eeyore64 sitting at our table...... Kind of an inside joke.....
I had to put a picture of the dessert with the solid chocolate Mickey statuette. I took him home and he is sitting on the refrigerator.
Well that is the first batch of pictures.
I am already looking forward to next year's convention even if it is going to be a shorter one....
By the way.... I did get 5 Lion King pins which I did not have, so it was a successful pin event for me as well....
