I truly cant believe I made it on this trip. I wanted to go in such a bad way but so many things (mostly job situations) looked like they would get in my way that I almost had to cancel many times. As luck would have it, I made it on this trip. And I am so thrilled that I was able to go. The only downfall to this trip was that I was dealing with some really bad sinus congestion that made me feel dizzy and tired about 2/3 of the trip, so I wasnt feeling me most of the trip. I did have a wonderful time and truly enjoyed meeting & seeing everyone. Anyway, without further ado, here are the pics.
Well not a picture of WDW, but this really got me in the mood to go. This is what I saw on my deck the day before I left.
I was up really early the morning I left for MCO (about 3:45 am I think) and on my way to Memphis from Columbus, I saw these beautiful sunrise pictures.
I was lucky enough to have a nice DISer, Dan Murphy, pick me up from the airport and drive me to my home for the week at the Swan. I admit it is a wonderful place to stay and the beds were so heavenly
I checked in, dropped my bags and headed out to our first stop... the Magic Kingdom
We had lunch at Caseys and these fellows were there looking for handouts.
I had to stop and smile when I saw this view (and take a picture of course). I just love the Partners statue
We believe in our idea: a family park where parents and children could have fun together

The first attraction we did was the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. Dan had told me once that he never went up it before so I figured this was a good first stop plus the scenery and views from it are beautiful.
It really is a peaceful place to go and wander around, especially when not many people are around.
This sign is so very fitting
One of the great views from the top of the tree house.
This is my favorite view from up top.
After the tree house, we realized we needed to go back and try to find something that was left behind (Ill let Dan tell). On the way back to Adventureland, we ran into two ladies and Dan was kind enough to offer to take their picture for them.
We were able to catch part of the Share a Dream Come True parade. I had heard the music so many times before that it was such a pleasure to finally see it.
I loved watching the characters interacting with the children along the way.
Our next stop was the Aladdin ride. I just love this spitting camel. I admit I didnt like Aladdin nearly as much as I like Dumbo
Somone once always told me to look up, so I did and saw this pretty flower.
Again looking up (at least for shorty me) I found this bird perched on top of the light.
Looking up once more, I caught Old Glory blowing in the wind. And if you looked closely at this fort you would see a speaker behind the scrim.
This boy was very much enthralled with the Liberty Bell
I swear Cinderella Castle gives me so many smiles and so many tears, I never tire looking at it.
On our way to meeting a few other DISers; DaveH, CrazyBoutDisney (Beth) & zakatak (Karen), we spotted a few characters greeting guests. Minnie did a very cute pose.
Here we have Beth with her DISCon buddy newmouscateer (Marilyn)
On the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, the girls got in one car and the guys in another. Here we have Dave and Dan waving to us.
And shortly after they started taking pictures of us
As we went through Space Mountain on the TTA, we noticed all the lights were on, so I snagged a few pictures.
Unfortunately I didnt get the best shots, but this was still neat to see.
Karen, Beth and Marilyn (the one hitching a ride) as we exited.
I truly love watching the characters interact with the guests. It reminds me so much of how I remember the parks to be when I was a kid.
An excellent topiary of two of my favorites Minnie & Mickey Mouse
Heres Karen all decked out in her wintery clothes for the MVMCP that night.
Finally we had to say our goodbyes and head over to meet another group, this time at Epcot. Along the way the sun was setting (and I was getting very tired). The sunset was just beautiful and framed the Grand Floridian so nicely
This is really one of my favorite times to ride the ferries across with the sun setting so beautifully and the lights beginning to light up around
The Contemporary looked particularly stunning all lit up with the Christmas tree.
And finally a shot looking back at the Magic Kingdom as the castle began its beautiful glow changing from one stunning color to the next.
We eventually made it to Epcot and met up with our group. Here we have catsrule (Mary Jo) and her DH (Perry)
Perry and NancyIL look warily at Dan as he plays with his camera.
Here is another picture of Mary Jo and Perry posing for a picture and I managed to catch DixieDreamer (Laura) in this shot as well.
After this we watched Tapestry of Nations but honestly I was too tired to take any more pictures. I did manage to get a few shots of ToN later
We did wander over to Future World to get this picture (previously posted) of us all
Dan, me, Laura, Perry (squatting), MJ & Nancy
We also watched IllumiNations that night as well, but once again I was a tad too tired to get pictures unfortunately I did not get any on this trip (maybe next time
)
Next thread will be a nice tribute to one of my all time favorite rides The Carousel of Progress. Until then I hope you enjoyed these
