Keeping it short and simple today, this little splash of color is part of the skylights in the ceiling in the Crystal palace, though now that I've started this post I realize there IS a story even about something as simple as this, though I had forgotten it until just now...
years ago when the Magic Kingdom was first built they used Plexiglass in the skylights, but over the years it discolored and degraded to the point where you could TELL it was plexi, apparently it stayed like that for some years before real colored glass was finally used to replace it during a refurbishment of the restaurant (I didn't know that story when I first took this picture someone else told me about it later on) the picture below is part of the following page:
Thanks TigerKat for the good wishes! I made progress yesterday and scrubbed our 12'x'14 screened room from rafters to floor. It was actually fun to place the new wicker chairs and rug in the room and enjoy the beautiful evening!
