"Dad, is it REALLY true that you worked on the windjammers when you were my age?" "Yes, son, it is."
[The windjammers still take tourists on cruises. At the time my son was 12-13, they only did week-long cruises. Every Saturday, he would clean the cabins and make the berths (beds) for 50 cents apiece, plus all the sandwiches he could eat for lunch.]
