Finally got a chance to checkout Mickey's Soundsational Parade yesterday. It's a lot of fun! I'm not one for parades, but the music is great and the entire event is entertaining.

I don't know when I'll get to see this parade, but I sure am looking forward to it!. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I love the one of Peter Pan; he looks like he means business.

Wow! I can't get over how vibrant the colors are in your pictures! Just fantastic! May I ask what type of camera, lens, filter, etc... you use to get such strong colors? Have these been enhanced at all after? I just love the colors and do not get such vibrancy in my shots.

Thanks for sharing,

Hope you get to DL to see it. Because it is a great parade and pictures no matter are just the tip of the iceberg at how it looks. Hopefully when
WDW gets thier new parade it is just as good too.

I'm curious too. It looks cloudy too so I'm wondering if the ambient light effected the shots a lot.

Those are some great photos!

I took some last week but the lighting conditions from my position were horrible. I was looking straight into the sunlight. I'm still getting used to my new camera. Here are a few that I took that are of some different parts of the parade than what the OP gave us.

Thanks! I have a Canon 50D with a 24-105 F/4 L lens. I did some minor editing to get the colors to pop a bit; the sun was going down and some of the natural lighting muted the colors a tad, so I tried to make them pop a bit more in post processing. I hope I didn't go too far :rolleyes1

The sun going down did affect it a bit. I like this parade, it's full of energy. :thumbsup2

Thanks, and great pics, especially of the chimney sweepers! I was bummed; I was too busy fiddling with my camera and looking down that I missed a lot of the chimney sweeper action. Guess I'll have to go back and get some more :)

Thanks for sharing. And no, you didn't go too far, they are great. The colors really POP!, but do not look "fake." I really like them. Nicely done.

Cyclenut, nice capture of the chimney sweeps clicking their heels in the air. Well done!

I was going to guess that the OP had a nice lens with the zoom and sharp foreground filocus. I am shooting with a canon T2i with the standard 18-55 lens. I didn't do any post. Just shooting jpg. You can really se the difference in the better lens from the OP and the colors are amazing. I spent most of my time just taking shots to learn how they looked when I got them home. My kids are dancers so I learn a little about timing and what to expect. That helped get that shot of the sweeps. If I have some time soon I will share some of the shots of aladdin in a different thread. I took those with my 50mm 1.4.

cyclenut, I thought your pics were great! Good composition, and nice timing. I'd love to see your shots of Aladdin!

The T2i and the 18-55 is solid; I started with the same setup (the grandfather of the T2i, the Canon XS and the 18-55). It's a great setup and I learned a lot toting that thing around WDW. I also love the 50mm 1.4, that's a great lens as well!
