Pickle part III

There is still time for Le Cellier, but know you will feel better if you get it. Maybe becasue you have a large party - have you tried two smaller reservations? They they could seat you together - easy for them to push two tables together. :)

Fingers crossed for everything to work out!

No Pickles to figure out this trip?? I mean what's a Pickles thread without a Pickle???

Ha ha! The only pickle is the advance on the bonus. If we can't get it advanced that early but a little later, Mark and I are going to go to Disneyland for five nights. :) He is such a thoughtful hubby.

My ressie for Le Cellier is only for the three of us. I have tried the seven of us just to see if I can get one that way, but no go. Very frustrating.

Hey girls! What a game by our Blackhawks. I'm so glad it did NOT go to Game 7...I would not have survived it.

Trac, did you try 4 people or 6 people...sometimes those things are really weird. Keep trying; last year I was able to get it a month before our trip for lunch!

Janet, if you read this, I tried to reply to your private message -- but your private message box is full. Thank you for the "congratulations" on our Blackhawks. The Flyers gave it all they had; the Hawks just had a little more speed and depth. But your Flyers impressed me with their "never quit attitude."

Christine, thank you for the email exchange re the Hawks and my friend. I'll keep you posted when I hear something else.

Yes, the game last night was awesome. Must admit, was a tad nervous in the last period. That goal from Hossa's skate just about did me in.

I have not tried 4 or 6 people. Instead of checking lunch or dinner, I put every single time in for 8 days straight. Nuthin. :(

I'd still keep trying; people will cancel as is obvious when I got it 30 days before our trip last September during free dining. :)

Hi Pickles!!!

Tracy - I'm so happy to hear about your possible trip to DW!! You will have to let me know when you might go ... I'm thinking of a girls trip with Samantha(before she goes off to middle school). It would be great to meet you in person:cool1:

Kathy - glad you got my PM - I will have to clean out my messages. Your blackhawks did a great job - as I said they deserved it. Flyers kept trying, but had to play too much catch up all the time. There's always next year!

Re Le Cellier - I agree on keeping trying, people cancel/make changes all the time. You might get lucky.

Tracy, Kathy has a good idea - try for 4 - a table for 3 had to be a table for 4 as well.

Have y'all decided where to stay yet?? Of course, you know POP is being refurbed!!!

I'm so excited some pickles have trips in the planning!!:woohoo:

I already have and there isn't anything. :( I'm getting really tired and frustrated from looking several times a day.

We will be staying at CBR or possibly a deluxe depending on how long we decide to stay.

Aw that's too bad.....but great news on the resort pick!!!

Hi Pickles!!!
Sorry I've been MIA....first my Dad's fall, then I had meetings at work right when I got back, and I'm just now getting caught up!!

Tracy, I'm excited that you get to go in August!

Thanks for asking about my cruise everyone! It is getting close and we are SO excited!!!

This is the last week of school for the kids...half days today through Friday.

Nice to hear from you Heather! I'm so happy to hear that your dad is going to be okay and that your cruise is just around the corner. The last days of waiting seem like torture, don't they? The kids here aren't out of school until June 24. Cassie is counting the days. Can't imagine why. haha

Well, we don't need a Le Cellier ressie anymore as our trip is not going to happen in August. Very bummed about it because I won't get to see my BFF and her family again this year. Time to start working on plan B!

Sometimes plan B turns out to be best of all!!! Loads of dust for Plan B!!

(Hey, look at my post count!!! Not even close to Kathy though ;) Believe it or not, I lurk more than I post!! :scared1: )

Why doesn't anyone post here anymore? Seems like everyone has disappeared, even on Facebook. :sad2:

My computer crashed at home AGAIN for the third time in three months. I've only been able to get on when my son let me use his (I ordered a new one but it won't be in until next week some time). And, now tomorrow is Mark's surgery so not sure how long I'll be off -- only a day or two I hope.

I hope all the Pickles are doing well.

I'm sorry about your computer and hope you'll like your new one. Best wishes to Mark with his surgery and prayers for a speedy recovery. I'll be thinking of you.

I think the pickles have become relish.

I think we need a PICKLE!!!! How's the Disneyland planning coming along? We're not much help with that...but I have been several times and have some fave hotels. ;) Will you visit Mark's family while out there?

Lots of threads ebb and flow...this is just one of our ebb times. ;) Happens on a couple of other threads I'm on too. One thread everyone moved to FB and so do not see or hear as much. I don't post much on FB - not as many friends posts even show up since the latest privacy option. Or by the time I see a post I am 20 hours late!!

Heather, how was the Cruise? Must have been fabulous!! We want pics!!

Kathy, know Mark's surgery is tomorrow - you know we'll be holding you both ever so near in heart and prayer.:grouphug:

Kelly, always thinking of Emily and praying for a positive change for her. You all have been through so much and yet you are one of the dearest people I've ever met - or almost met! Looking forward to lunch one of these Saturdays. :goodvibes

Kari, you life never stops moving! Stop by and say hey when you've got a minute. :)

Janet, course I usually know what's up with you since a barely a day goes by that we don't connect one way or another. :goodvibes

Hope I didn't miss anyone!

News from here...had an ultrasound today - another step to finding out what's going on with a one of those female medical issues....could be serious, but hoping it turns out to be otherwise. Fingers crossed. Without medical insurance I am so much more aware of real cost - like today - it was automatic to have a scheduled Dr visit after the ultrasound, but all I could think of is that she can talk to me over the phone as easily...and Mia was taking sick time to care for Sophia (and you know how Drs run late), so I asked to skip the Dr app't and asked to have her call me with the results. If she sees something serious, I'd rather be at home when I hear it than sitting in an office with strangers. She hasn't told me much of anything so no idea if this can give her definitive info. Could use a prayer or two if ya have an extra one hanging around.

We're not much help with that...but I have been several times and have some fave hotels. ;) Will you visit Mark's family while out there? We decided not to go to Disneyland for several reasons. My heart belongs to WDW. We were going to go a few nights in September for my birthday, but things didn't work out there either. Some days I feel like this black cloud is hanging over me or I have the plague or something. Ugh.

We've decided to take Cassie to Old Orchard Beach for a few days at the end of August. We'll also be packing my parents up for their move home. Will be a sad, but happy day. Their house isn't sold yet, but their realtor is hopeful. It's water front property in a desirable location so fingers are crossed. They will be staying with us while their new house is being built.

I imagine you are worried sick about this. Praying and hoping for good news for sure. I just found out today when I called for an appointment that I'm without a family doctor until late September as mine went on early maternity leave. Talk about panic attack. I need some tests done ASAP. See, our medical system isn't all it's cracked up to be. It makes me SO angry!

I think the pickles have become relish.

Nope, we just "soured" a little :rotfl:

Hi everyone!!

the end of the year was busy for me ... but it's over!! I done with Sam's School!!!! No more yearbook, kinda of happy/sad, but mostly happy.:)

Our kids went to school until July 29th so I kinda of feel we lost a little bit of the summer.

We went to a friend’s house for a BBQ on the 4th. That same weekend, Sam and I went to Dorney Park (amusement/water park) to meet a friend and her Mom - it was a perfect day, no humidity!

This past weekend, Howard's company had their co. picnic in Wildwood, NJ (at Moreys Piers) so we left on Sat morning and drove the 100 miles (mostly in the rain!!). We did ask ourselves, why are going, the weather is only going to follow us. Yep, it started raining when we pulled in Wildwood, but the kids still had a great time. A least when it rains, there are short lines for the rides:thumbsup2 At first, only the waterpark was open, so I was going on water rides in the rain – weird. Howard & Paul walked the boardwalk (I remembered my Mickey ponchos!! - although Howard had to wear his NYY poncho!). By the time we had dinner, and drove home, it was 11:30pm. I was so tired still on Sunday. Guess I'm getting old.

Kathy - I pray that Mark's surgery goes well.

Tracy - There has to be someone that is covering for your doctor in the interim - call and bug them to schedule your tests!!

Christine - glad you got the ultrasound out of the way ... hopefully you will hear soon on the results.

Heather - yes, we need pictures - maybe we can even get together soon.

I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon to go visit my mom for a few days, but I'll be back next Monday.

 to all!
J

Hi Pickles!!!!

Prayers and hugs for all of you...sounds like we are all busy with all kinds of things!

The cruise was a lot of fun...pictures are out on Facebook...the football part is in the album called Tight Ends, and the rest is in the Bermuda Cruise album. We had fun and will probably go on another cruise (and take the kids) sometime. As much as I LOVE Disney, it was nice not to have to do anything....I'd love to do a Disney cruise.....someday.....
