A good day to just lay on the couch and try to rest while you are waiting to hear from your mom or dad. I know it is easier said than done (especially since I've been there), but try to take a deep breath and keep good thoughts.

We should start a "MEANEST, WORST MOTHER EVER" Pickle Club. We've all been there. Tell her to stop whining and being selfish and go find something to do with herself or you'll find a "year-round" school for her to go to.

My third step child was here over night. Her mother just came to get her and said that they have both ends of our crescent blocked off because of the road work. Guess I won't be going to see my mom. I can't believe they blocked us in here. Someone must have been in the wrong line when they were passing out brains that day.

Now, I am CRANKY.

I'll bet if you go up and tell them that your Mom is in the hospital and you have to get out, they will let you out. they can't NOT let you go...what if you had to get to work?

She had to park down the road and walked up to our place. She said there were huge holes in the road. They must be laying the pipe. I don't know.

I just got home. Had to drive over a curb and someone's lawn to get into my crescent. Water is on.

Mom is feeling good. It wasn't her pacemaker. The bottom chamber of her heart is enlarged and she's been put on some meds. They are going to test her for sleep apnea as well. This is all part of plan A if that doesn't work, plan B is serious surgery and adding some other thingy to her pacemaker by burning pathways through her heart. I dunno - my eyes glazed over after they mentioned enlarged chamber. I didn't want to hear about plan B.

First, glad the water is back on. And good for you driving over someone's lawn--they'll get over it!

I'm glad mom is feeling good. I have a GOOD feeling that Plan A is going to work great for her.

And don't you just love our parents? I'd go see dad at the hospital and every other visit he would tell me that I look like crap and that I should get some sleep. This is a good sign...she's worried about her baby girl!

Well, I'm praying for Plan A to be the ticket! It makes sense to me that you would look like heck since you've been worried sick!! As Heather said, take it as a good sign that she even noticed.

So glad the water is working...you are surely sound asleep bu now, but when you do read this, know I sent a big bear hug just for you!

Just went thru the thread, thank you for sending me the link - At first, I thought I was losing it cause I coudn't find you al!

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom, I'm sending positive thoughts your way for Plan A to work. She will get better.

Aren't Moms great? I mentioned to my Mom that I need to lose some weight, and she quickly agreed! I agree with Heather & Christine, your Mom must be feeling better with the remark she made to you!
