Pickle part II

Just got a phone call from my dad. Mom had a pace maker put in last fall and this afternoon she was light headed and her heart was racing. They couldn't get it settled down at her town hospital so they sent her to our city hospital by ambulance. He doesn't know if they are going to replace it or what. She is in CICU.

Our trip may go bust yet.

Oh, Tracy! I am so sorry to hear this. Will be holding your mom (and you) very near in heart and prayer - please keep us posted?

You will find Eeyore at Crystal Palace for sure! And, as Kathy wrote, The Plaza is very good, very convenient in the MK right near the end of Main Street on the right (heading toward the Castle), but not on Main Street. I have some food photos from The Plaza, if I can find them. We try to eat there almost every visit.:thumbsup2

If you want you can pre-buy the photopass cd for $99. It is more expensive in the park. We did get 2 20% off coupons one day. Someone came to our room and gave one to us for Lily's b-day and one for our anniversary. I used that and got the cd for $79 :cool1: !

Make sure you ask them about "magical" shots. We have some of Lily holding tinkerbell in her hand, cradling Simba and Baylie holding a bunch of MIckey balloons.

On another subject, my nephew plays for the Brewers.... so we became Brewer fans this year. He got called up from the minors this year. We are all so excited for him and he is doing pretty well so far. I think he has had about four home runs and some great plays too. He plays 3rd or is the designated hitter. Keep an eye out for him... Mat Gamel.

okay.. I just went back and read!

Tracy.. I am sorry about your mom. Keep us posted. I'll be praying for you ;)

$99?! Oh my. I'm too cheap for that.

Thank you for you kind words and prayers. I am worried sick. I swear if it weren't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck at all.

You don't have to get the CD. You can just take the little card home with you, log into the computer as instructed, look at pictures, share them via emails with others, and if you want any specific picture, order them.

Honey, I know we are very far away, but if there is anything we can do, just holler. If you want to talk here, or on FB, or on the phone, just let me know...I'm here for you. I'll say an extra prayer when I go to bed tonight.

xoxoxo:hug:

How much is the card?

Thank you. I'll take all the prayers I can get. If we have to cancel this trip, they might as well make room for me in the rubber room wing at the hospital. 'Cause that's where I'll be checking in. :sad1:

The card costs NOTHING. They give it to you for free when they take the first picture and you just give it to each photographer, thereafter (just make sure to get it back from the photographer after he takes your picture). The only cost will be when you get home if you order any pictures.

You will NOT need a rubber room wing at the hospital. Your mom is going to be fine! She has all of us "pickles" saying prayers for her. Keep postive thoughts.

It doesn't cost anything? Wow. That surprises me. Huh.

Thanks, Kat. I am zonked and going to bed. Have to get up early to get all my water stored for the day. And us all showered of course. Fun fun!

Tracy, woke up thinking about your mom and said a prayer for her immediately. Please let us know when you here something?

As Kathy said, we are here for you, in absolutely any way we can be of support. I have unlimited minutes including Canada, so just pm if you want to chat.

My problem with the photopass card is that I forget all about it and never use it after the first time.

Mia is going to scan a photo of Toby on our first visit to WDW in August 1981 and I am going to make it my avatar - unless it is too small..if so, then I'll add it o my siggie. He needed a haircut but decided to get one at the MK barbershop - well, we were having so much fun we never got around to stopping, so he had bangs in his eyes that still drives me nuts when I see those old photos!! Mothers!! :rotfl:

Just spoke with mom. Medication won't bring her heart rate down. She is waiting for the cardiologist to come in to see her. No clue what the next steps are. I tossed and turned all night and when I did manage a few winks of sleep I dreamt of airplane crashes.

Sigh.

Thank you, Christine. Can't wait to see the picture. :) My mother cut our hair. I call it the tupperware special. They were bad bad cuts. lol

Excellent job, Kat. Right on girl! :thumbsup2
I agree...you did a great job, Kathy. Because of your love of CSR, it is definately one I will consider for our next trip. We NEED a queen bed, so that's why we have stayed Deluxe in the past. But if I can get that at CSR, then that is now already on the list!
Thank you!

I hope all the "pickles" are having a nice day. I'm watching the Cubs blow away the Washington Nationals in the 9th inning by a score of 11-3. We go to Philly next and that will be a tough series. I'm home alone...DH is umpping baseball; oldest DS is coaching baseball and youngest DS did not come home this weekend as he is working a wrestling camp in Dubuque. I got the whole house cleaned so that tomorrow, if it does in fact reach 80 degrees and is sunny as they are saying, I can lay on the patio and try to get a little color.
Sorry...Phillies are gonna win.:rolleyes1 (at least I hope so, cause if not Chris will be in a miserable mood!)
Well, you are going to HAVE too. This is a romantic trip and you have to have pics with the hubby. Plus we want a picture of you with Eeyore for my DH.
I agree..you have to get some pics with you in them...this is a monumental trip for you!
I am stressing, but that's nothing unusual. Spent the entire weekend house cleaning and I am sore and I am exhausted. I can hardly keep my eyes open. I am crawling in bed in about an hour. We won't have water again tomorrow so I am getting prepared for that too.
Ugh! No water again??/that stinks!

Oh No!!!
Your family is in my prayers!
I'm here if you need ANYTHING!

We love photopass. Bought the CD last trip, but we went with my in-laws and knew we would have TONS of Pics. We gave it to them as their Christmas present. They were THRILLED! I'm not sure if I'll get it this time when it's just the 4 of us. If I get a coupon like you did, that would certainly entice me to buy.

That's so cool about your Nephew. Chris lives and breathes baseball. I'll have to tell him to look for Mat. He just had Baseball Camp last week and had a BLAST. It was nice for him to have other kids who are as into it as he is to hang out with for the week. He learned a lot, and made some great friends.

Oh no. I'm praying that the cardiologist can get things under control. PLEASE keep us posted!:grouphug:

We had a great time with my Grandma and at the Family Reunion over the weekend. Chris leaves for Hawaii with my parents this afternoon (Tracy...I'm hoping your plane crash dreams weren't a premonition...that is my worst fear...I don't know what I would do if I lost my parents and a child at the same time.) He wil be there for 2 weeks. He is most concerned with not being able to see any Phillies games while he is there. I told him to have fun, and that I'd Tivo them for him. We are missing him already.

I hope all my Pickles have a great day!:grouphug:

Not what I was hoping to hear, but perhaps the cardiologist will have a better solution.

I'm glad you got some sleep ~ try not to worry too much about the dream...you know how our dreams are never about the dream itself...you're just worried about your mom.

Thanks...it was a labor of love!

Well, I'll have TWO boys who will be upset if the Cubs don't win. But then we are so used to not winning in this town. :rolleyes1

Glad you had a great time with your grandma and your family reunion. Wow, what a great trip for Chris. And tell him not to think about the Phillies...Hawaii is a whole lot better than baseball.

Oh, Tracy...not what I was hoping to hear this morning. But, hopefully, the cardiologist will come up with something that will help her right away. And, as for your dream, that is just because you are worried about mom. Focus your energy on prayers for mom now. Please keep us posted.

Oh Trust me...my Big boy gets just as upset as the little one if the Phillies lose. until last year, they were used to it...It has been difficult to explain to Chris that while the Phillies won the World Series last year, it was a long road to get there, and he can't expect them to win all the time.

I agree that Hawaii is better than baseball! The funniest thing is tha tthat's what he's looking forward to the most...Shane Victorino is one of his favorite players. He grew up on Maui. My mom's friend was his pre-school teacher. They have set up a baseball field tour, so Chris can see all the fields that he had played on when he was his age. He will be on :cloud9:

Tracy, Any updates?
Has the cardiologist been in to see your Mom yet?
