Picking Up Friends at Hollywood Studios?

Is this possible? We will be at Ft. Wilderness next month and will have friends from Denmark coming over for a visit after their day at Hollywood Studios. They're not at all familiar with Ft. Wilderness and I'm concerned about the complicated transportation situation there as well as the language barrier. They'll have two small children and a teen with them so I'd like to make it as simple as possible.

Is there any way we could drive to DHS at closing and pick them up there after Fantasmic?

I have one idea park at the boadwalk hotel walk over then they can see the boardwalk and get some ice cream before the trip back but i am sure there a why to do it at dhs.

There is a drop-off/pick-up area. It would be best to go there with two people, one could stay with the car and the other go to the exit gate and meet them there, so they wouldn't have to find the drop-off area.
By all means don't have them take a bus to FW. You may never see them again.

Where is the pick-up area? My hubby is the only one who can go over, they're a family of five and our tow vehicle only seats six. The mom (my friend) will be on her third WDW trip so she's fairly familiar with the Studios area. They're just used to hopping on their resort bus and not having to make transfers and things.

They're thinking about cabbing it back to Port Orleans afterward-adult beverages are planned Any idea on how to get a cab at Ft. Wilderness?

I believe it is next to the area where the tram drops you off, near the main entrance.
I'm sure if you call the front desk or bell services at FW they can arrange the cab for you. It's only a short drive from FW to Port Orleans.

Honestly, I'd tell them to go back to Port Orleans on the bus and pick them up there. All your hubby would do is turn left out of the Fort, go to the first light, turn right and Port Orleans is immediately there on the left. We had friends visit us from POR and it was less than 5 minutes away. A lot easier than driving through all that traffic at closing at DHS!
