Ok, yeah, I know what my 'tag' says but, come on, I'm not out DRIVING at that hour. So, what do I do? Take a nap early in the evening and, hopefully wake up when he calls or, let him stay with his 'date' (and all the others in the group) at one of her friends house until the morning?! I'm thinking I'm going to go get him!

Any other prom parents with this transportation issue?

FYI, DS is a 16-1/2 yo sophomore going with a neighbor friend to her SENIOR prom. (They don't attend the same school.) So, these kids are 2 grades ahead but, about 1 to 1-1/2 years older.

DS said he wants to come home after bowling ( in prom attire? ) so, I guess I better figure out how to go get him. Boy, I'm gonna be one tired Mom on Mother's Day.

Your son is a very LUCKY boy!:D My mom picked me up more times than I can count when I was a teenager, I love her so much!:wave2:

Can no one else drop him off after bowling? I attended my junior and senior prom, and we all stayed the night at someones house... big group of friends, parents home. We ended the fun with breakfast at Dennys before going home to crash =)

I'd go to sleep, just run out in pj's to get him, and come and climb back into bed...

that is if you CANT find someone to just drop him off =)

a bunch of people here went bowling in tuxes and dresses after prom last year....we all just came to my house and slept over...there were 5 guys and 5 girls..my parents were home and it was fine....
my brother just got home from prom with his girlfriend and 1 other couple...the guy is sleeping here and the girls are going home at 2

Well, because I don't know any of the parents who are driving and, dropping him off would be out of their way, I just felt it was impolite to even ask (besides, they are obviously doing it, why can't I?.)

Funny thing is, he'll be just a few blocks from several of my family members but, that means several miles from home. :(

Thanks for the replies. :sunny:

My son got 2 other couples together and the three boys parents shared the cost of a limo....the girls all gathered to get ready at ONE house cause if the limo has to go to more then the STARTING point (which was our house--the guys got ready here) and one pick up, they charge more....they took them and picked them up..although I was UP TIL he got home..I could have save my money and picked them up LOL.....maybe he could stay with a family memeber if they are close to where he will be.--GOOD LUCK,,and I hope he has a BLAST!!
