Read this on the forums. Sorry if it has already been posted hear.

Photopass photos, you can get them all on CD $100. So instead of paying $12.95 for 1, you could maybe get all of them on CD for $100.

They recommened that you still check your photos daily and add frames and sigs. Save money well in my house it does we tend to purchase at least 10, and it is hard to choose which ones, so getting them all is a bonus.

Thought i would pass it on :thumbsup2

This is an excellent price! We had lots of photos on Photopass last time, and even choosing a few we ended up paying over $60 (and that included a 20% discount!)

We will definitely be taking advantage of this :)

I can't wait to get loads of pictures taken, now! :goodvibes

DD is so excited about seeing the characters again - I hope there are lots of photographers around when we are there! :thumbsup2 :teeth:

A CD is going to be sooo much easier to pack than a ton of photos - and it shouldn't get crumpled! :rotfl2:

We did this in January when they had just introduced it and got over 200 pictures on our CD!

Ta! very muchly!

So let's see if I've got this correct.

You can open an account for FREE.
You then can have your photos taken for FREE
When you get home you can activate your account for FREE
You then have 30 days in which to choose your photos.
Individually they are $12.95 each but at the moment you could have them all put on a CD for $100 which will be sent to you, and you can then print whichever you want.
At the end of 30 days the photos will be deleted from the website.
If you decide not to choose any, it hasn't cost you a penny.

....where's the catch?

There's no catch - it's easier from a paperwork point of view for disney, and it also increases their profits - they can use a printer that costs less but takes longer to print as you're not standing at the counter waiting for them to come out, and they have a win/win situation by having them all put on cd - a cd costs about 20p to produce including labelling, and if they didn't have this option you may not be inclined to buy a load, so they gain a whole heap of profit out of what otherwise would have been a press of the delete button.

And of course, the advantage to you is as you stated above, you can get all your pics on one cd for $100, and longer to look at them at home instead of rushed decisions at the parks. That way if you do want them printed you can opt for it and pay online in your own time.

That sounds like a great deal. Last year we lost some of ours. A family crisis meant that we missed the 30 day deadline! Wont make the same mistake this year! :goodvibes

Of course, if you buy the CD, you can print them out at home if you want or take the CD to your local photo shop so they can print them for you as Disney supply a copy of the rights to your photos to make this all legal. :thumbsup2

I will say, if you view your photos online and want to buy just a few instead of the CD, the shipping time to the UK was excellent - we received our pics about one week after ordering them! :goodvibes

At one time they were saying you could only buy the CD in the parks and had to order prints online. Have they changed that? If so it's an excellent change!

I would be interested to know if you can buy the CD online, too! :teeth:

You can't! And I would strongly advise buying your photos in Orlando as its expensive to post the photos to the UK. I thought $99 was really expensive -we didn't have that many photos. Now I regret not buying it. I would recommend that you get as many photopass pictures taken as you can (some people had over 500 - we had 15!) and buy the CD on your last day.

by the way, the pictures that you order online are incredibly stunning quality.
They're not printed by Disney. They come directly from Kodak in Rochester New York. I have never seen such beautiful quality. Certainly not the pictures that you buy when you're at WDW.

I ordered the $16.95 size i think and they are breathtaking. Worth every penny.

Looks like they may have increased the shipping charges, then!

We had used PhotoPass in 2004 when it was new (and there was no CD available at all!) and found the shipping charges to the UK extremely low! :goodvibes

Well, I'll just go with your suggestion, mattnkatsmum - I'll buy the CD in the parks on our last day! :thumbsup2

Going to do the same, checking the pics each day we have some taken, to make sure they are of us :rotfl2:

And add sigs and boarders.

Does anyone know how long it will take to burn onto CD, we normally have 100ish taken.
