Photopass CD for $99

Just got back today, however, without my CD because they were having trouble burning it :sad1: Thankfully, the little bit of pixie dust is they will be mailing it to me once they are able to make a copy (I have already paid for it).

We went with another family and shared a photopass card (although we could have each had our own as they will put as many cards on there up to 300 photos, we had 140 taken) and we are splitting the cost of the CD. Borders and extras can only be added before the CD is burned at WDW. The only thing that will be there are the "characters" that get added (Tink, Stitch, Baby Simba).

As long as an old photpass still has the pics available on it, you can put those pics on the CD along with the new ones. If the pics are no longer available online, they are no longer on your card.

Even if you don't do the CD, you can view all your park pictures at Epcot or GF, however you can still only view MK pics at MK, MGM pics at MGM, & AK pics at AK.

I am sooooo very thankful to the OP for posting about this :worship: I can't wait till my CD arrives.

This sounds like a great deal!!! When my sisters and I were there last year we easily spent more than that on our pictures.

This year there are 13 of us going and we were wondering if you can get more than one card for the same photo pass. I'm sure we all won't be walking around in a group of 13 all the time and it would be great if we could all get on the same CD.

Anyone have any info on this???

Thanks..........DisBoards rocks

From what I understand you can load as many cards onto the CD not to exceed 300 photos.

My question, when you add boarders and what not to a picture is the edited photo along with the original then loaded onto the CD. Example:

I have 10 photos and I add boarders to 5 of them. Will I then have 15 photos to burn to a CD or still only 10?

I did not realize that the CD could only be purchased at WDW, or I would have purchased it while we were there. When I realized that I could not purchase the CD from the PhotoPass web site, I sent them an e-mail and this is the response I received:

"Currently, this product is only available at Epcot's Camera Center, M. Mouse Mercantile in the Grand Floridian Resort, and at Toontown in the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, this product is not currently available online at DisneyPhotoPass.com. We are working with our partners in merchandise on a process which will allow us to take orders and fulfill these requests directly from Walt Disney World. We expect to have this new process in place by the end of January. The cost of this PhotoCD product is currently $99.95 for all photos associated to your PhotoPass IDs. Please note that this cost is subject to change. We will extend your Disney's PhotoPass photos for an additional 30 days to ensure that you will be able to order the CD product once the fulfillment process has been established."

This will be worth it to me, since I have a great shot of DS and DD with Mickey and Minnie in their Christmas finery that I would love to use as a Christmas card - but my PhotoPass will have expired long before I am ready to order 2006 Christmas cards.

Hope this information helps.

That's great news, now I have to check and see if my photos are still available on photopass. Sure hope so.

In reply to kutchyone you get a copy of the original and after it has been edited. so in your example you would get 15.

Thanks so much, this is getting better and better. We will be with the High School Band this trip, another Majorette Mom, her two kids, me, my daughter and her boyfriend. We will probably have four cards between all of us so this may be a great deal for us. The only problem is the two locations. I sure hope by February they see how popular this will be and they will open up additional locations. DTD would be a great spot for both Disney and us because the kids depart for home via bus from DTD and the other Mom and I are planning an adult evening at PI.

Anyone know (about) what the hours are at the Photo places, particularly Epcot or MK? Are they usually the same as park hours? I want to wait until out last day to get the CD, but our last day is at AK, so I'm going to have to make a special trip to get the CD. Just wanted to know what time I need to get there by!

Thanks :flower:

Didn't see this addressed in the thread:

What is the resolution of the images that are put on the CD?

Bumping to see how you got your photopass account extended. Mine expires tomorrow.

Thanks

I don't think you can get the CD at MK for now. I think it has been reported that you can only get it at EPCOT and Grand Floridian. I wanted to wait until the last day to get ours too. Our last day is AK then we are going to Down Town Disney. It would be nice if they opened up additional locations to get the CD and I think DTD would be a really great location.

If you can tell me how to check this, I can let you know.

We got our CD Sunday when we left and were told Epcot and the GF were the only 2 locations.

We found out about the CD 3 days into our 7 night stay, and from then it was game on! Whenever we saw a CM in a photo vest we went running! Group shots, individual shots, tink and stitch shots...you name it! We ended up with 235 pics by the end of the week! Needless to say I don't think I will get my children to pose for another picture for at least 3 or 4 months! :earsboy:

235 Pictures -- that rocks!! I'm totally going to be into this for our trip in May. I'm so glad you guys tipped me off to this CD thing. It will be my son's first trip to Disney, so I'm going to take a ton of pictures anyway. It will be nice to have a way to get ALL of the pictures from PhotoPass for one price (I always hate having to pick and choose!). Maybe they will offer them in more places or online by then!

I have a question about the borders you can add. Are you actually editing the photos yourself or is the castmember doing it for you? Do they have machines like if you went to Wal-mart and did photos?

Thanks

Here is the info I got when I checked the properties of one of the pictures.

Size 1.5 MB 3008x2000

Ok, I have read all 8 of these pages and this cd sounds really great. My family and I will be in leaving for Disney World in just 10 days. We have never been before!! We have 3day park hopper passes we will be in Mk on Sunday, Epcot and MGM on Monday and plan to go back to MK and Epcot or MGM on Friday. Our flight home leaves very early on Saturday morning. In only being at the parks for 3 days would this be a good deal for us? If it is a good deal (which is sounds like one) on Friday before we leave whichever park we are at would we just go over to the Grand Floridian to get the disc? Thanks.

can't wait to use this! we were actually selected 2 years ago to test this out for Disney.People thought we were nuts as they had no idea what we were doing. we had to wear a special button that we pushed in order to take our pic in front of castle and some other sites. Do you still have to do this?We loved the end results then and I'm sure it has been improved. When we tested it they were talking about people being able to view and edit their pics from their rooms. Any idea if this is available yet?
