On the last night of our stay at WDW, the photopass person told me that we could now get all of our photopass photos burned to a CD for $99. Then we were free to take the CD home and print photos at home or at our local photo developer. We could do this at one of the park camera centers or at the gift shop in the Grand Floridian. I went over to the Grand Floridian in the morning, viewed the photos, checked out the prices (I think it was about $22 for 2 5x7's) and decided to get the CD for $99. I had no trouble viewing the photos on my computer and have had them printed at Walmart. This is much cheaper than having Disney print your photos. The CD's will hold up to 300 pictures they said, but we only had about 50. I wish I'd stopped at every photopass person now and had them take our pictures. The photopass photos turned out better than the ones taken with my camera and are the only ones that had my whole family. I suggest taking all the pictures you can with photopass and buying the CD.

Thanks for the information. We've been numerous times and have never been told about the CD. I'll be asking where I can buy ours next week!

this sounds wonderful....am not too sure I understand how this works but am willing to try! Is it just pictures taken by the photopersons or can you add your own pictures to the CD??? As you can guess, I am technically challanged!! :rotfl2:

Can you get the character autographs and Tikerbell added to your hands and other special effects added on from the CD? I would buy the CD for sure if we can do all of that. I have the same exact camera that the CM's use and they are always happy to take a picture for me with it...a lot of times they'll adjust the buttons to the best settings too (glad they know how to do it...haven't gotten around to reading the entire manual yet).

This sounds like a good idea especially if you take advantage of a lot of the PhotoPass locations. I'd pay $99 for a CD but it would have to have at least 30 pics on it.

It would be nice if there was some way to put the borders and other graphics on the pics. I would think that they could just add them to disc as clipart that you can insert using any photo editing software. I wonder if they will do that.

Yes, we had some pictures with the characters in the picture with us, for instance, we have a picture of us with Stitch at MGM. So make sure to ask the photographer to take all those character pictures. All those pictures will be on the photopass CD if you buy it.

We also asked the photopass photographer to take pictures with our camera and they always did. However, I developed both my pictures and theirs, and theirs turned out better. I think it may have been because I didn't always have my flash on when we needed it.

It only takes a minute to stop for the photopass picture, so do it every time you can. They are in front of all the major sites (Cinderellas Castle, the MGM hat, Tower of Terror, Rock N Roller, Tree of Life, Epcot ball, etc.). They snap a few pictures of your family in a variety depths (up close, full length, etc.) then scan your photopass card to link the pictures to your card number. Later on you can view the pictures at the park's camera center.

Wow, this is great. I think it would be worth the $$ since that is one thing I always get is pics.

I so wish that they would have had this when we were there in July... It would have saved my MIL some money. She knew we wanted those pics of our honeymoon, so she paid for them, but they are SO expensive!

When we go in October, we'll definitely be buying a CD! Thanks for the info!!

This is great to know! So every picture that Photopass takes for your entire trip is on the CD? And you get up to 300 pictures for $99? Sounds like a pretty good deal if you have a lot of pics taken.

that sounds really great, I wonder what kind of qulaity the pics will be, so i could do different sizes at home.

Thanks for the tip!

I would hope that you would be able to get all the "Disney Magic" stuff on the CD. Do you know if that's possible? You know, like Tink in your hands, the borders or additional clip art that says "Magic Kingdom" and then the year. I took my photopass thingy home and messed with different borders and clip art in different places before ordering. I think I ended up spending around $60 for 8 pictures (5x7s) but I would have LOVED to have gotten some of them in different sizes for my family room, etc. I wonder how much you can do with the CD? I'm not good with technological boundaries. Can someone offer a guess?

Anyone know if this was a promotional price? I'm going in October and will use this. Thanks a lot. :dog:

ok, i am seeing $99.....is that 99 dollars or cents? i dont think i am gonna pay 99 dollars for pics.

Thanks for this info. We will be going with friends of ours, so we can share a Photopass and split the cost of the CD.

Wow, I think the $99 CD is great! When we went early December 2004 Photopass was kinda new and we didn't really know about at first so we only got about 20 pictures taken with the card. Even with just those few pictures though, when we got home we ended up ordering a few of them in different sizes and it wound up costing like $69 with shipping, so knowing about the CD and making sure you get a bunch more pictures taken, the $99 CD would be really worth it.

I really loved adding the borders and things though, wonder if you can do that with the CD?

Do ride photos get added to the photo pass? Splash, Test Track, RnR, etc? Can you order the CD after leaving WDW or do you have to get it while there?

How exactly does photopass work? The first time you get a Photopass picture taken are you given a card or something? And then from then on, they scan the card when you get a new picture taken? And where all are the Photopass people set up?

Thanks!

Kiddoc: The ride photos are not included in photopass. You can only get the photopass CD while you are at Disney. You cannot order it after you get home.

HLAuburn: You are correct. The first photographer to take your picture will give you a card. From then on, you give that card to each photographer you use, and they scan it. The photographers I saw at MK were on Mainstreet USA, near TownHall, and on the bridge heading into Tomorrowland. There are probably more, but I didn't see them. In AK, in front of the tree of life. At MGM, on the mainstreet leading up to the hat, in front of Tower of Terror, and in front of Rockin Rollercoaster. In Epcot, behind spaceship earth and on the bridge going into world showcase. There are probably others but these are the ones we spotted. They are easy to find and it didn't take long.
